Large acacia trees or just common wattles?

You see these all over residential neighborhoods here, large trees with large yellow wattles:

Wondering if their acacia or not, any help on id would be much appreciated

Nah man that b 'Grevillea robusta' , the largest of of the Grevilleas, got a wopper out side my bathroom window,

Ours isnt flowering yet though, yours is way early, were those shots taken recently??

Just out of interest i went out side just then to have a look for any signs of flowering , but not even a single branch showed any signs of flowering yet,

Down this way its considered to be a summer flower.

how did you go from "is this acacia active?" to "is this random tree an acacia?"

Cheers buddy there all over QLD and I had grave doubts about them being acacia but thought I would check due to the flowers anyway.

Had a very nice forum member tell me where I can find some acacia maidenii seeds locally so going to start a little garden this week
