Korky Posted October 1, 2009 hey humans, was hoping to get your opinion on the below images, my amateur guess is longifolia/sophorae. was found on the Victorian surf coast 45minutes sth of geelong in mid september. a couple hundred meters inland from the water. many acacias seen that day but only two with these features. seeing it was cut to the ground it would be ideal if it was worth dragging home!!! image of trunks acacia1 image of phylode but drying out acacia2 image of dead/dry flower acacia3 This tree was 4 meters away and looked to be the same. acacia4 have heard varying thoughts on bringing dead longifolia home??? any help would be superb, thanks. Korky Posted October 5, 2009 (bump) anyone? im guessing the fact that the images are linked are maybe not ideal. espesh for those on slower connections. sorry. for whatever reason direct photo uploading doesnt work for me on SAB but no problem on most other sites. hope to get at least a 2nd opinion. thanks
Micromegas Posted October 5, 2009 Looks pretty much like longifolia to me, as you thought.
