first ever find

Habitat:

South Australia. Pine forest, specifically in the dampest part of the area I was in. growing out of and/or underneath pine needles

Gills:

white - see pictures

Stem:

long, thick,white

Cap:

red, some white spots from the veil remaining. I believe the rain may have washed away most of the white

Bruising:

no bruising

Wondering if someone could id these please? Think they're muscaria's but would like to be 100% sure

yeah A. muscaria. i'll say 99.9% sure because theres always an element of doubt when looking at photos on the net.

Nice finds austin!

I posted in the other thread about SA (the rains are ere'), saying how they are starting to appear around the place. I might go out again next week for a more thorough search. The habitat that I venture is the same as yours.
