austin Posted May 3, 2009 (edited) Habitat: South Australia. Pine forest, specifically in the dampest part of the area I was in. growing out of and/or underneath pine needles Gills: white - see pictures Stem: long, thick, white Cap: red, some white spots from the veil remaining. I believe the rain may have washed away most of the white Bruising: no bruising (had already been kicked up when found) Wondering if someone could id these please? Think they're muscaria's but would like to be 100% sure Edited May 3, 2009 by austin
paradox Posted May 3, 2009 yeah A. muscaria. i'll say 99.9% sure because theres always an element of doubt when looking at photos on the net.
Zenerol Posted May 3, 2009 Nice finds austin! I posted in the other thread about SA (the rains are ere'), saying how they are starting to appear around the place. I might go out again next week for a more thorough search. The habitat that I venture is the same as yours.
