Question

Howdy,

I found this little tiger at a cacti nursery in central NSW.

It was labeled as a T. Bridgesii, but i don't think it is. I already did some searching in the SAB IDs.

The only thing similar that I could find was Knuthianus and Cuscoensis.

IDs or confirmation appreciated.

Yeah, I'd call it cuzcoensis. It's definitely not bridgesii!

Too blue to be what I'd call Cuzcoensis. I'd call it KK242/Cuzco, but the blue puts me off.

It has the blue of a bridge, and the spines of what I would imagine bridge+kk242 cross would look like.

My conclusion = beautiful hybrid.

I've seen many cuzcoensis that are quite blue, I doubt they're all hybrids. If anything, I would guess that the bluer ones have peruvianus genetics in them, not bridgesii. I suspect, however, that the blue ones and the green ones are just variations of cuzcoensis. I could very easily be wrong though...

Thanks for the input, I looked up the ones that were mentioned. I think it's most similar to a KK242. Still not 100% certain though.

This is the main T. Peruvianus KK242 I am judging from though.

Thanks
