MindExpansion Posted December 18, 2008 Google to find out what they are and I think you can usually pick up agar from the supermarket cooking section with jelly and whatnot. Peace
Ace Posted December 19, 2008 In case google hasn't been hit - its a powder made from seaweed that has no nutritional value. Nutrients are added when it is made up in the same fasion as jelly crystals, allowing mycellium, bacteria, viruses, etc to colonise and grow on them. Google/Wiki has a lot more info. you can usually pick up agar from the supermarket cooking section with jelly and whatnot. If not there then definately at most health food shops and possibly at the SAB shop. Remember to support the shop that supports the forum before a huge multi-chain supermarket
