Trichocereus. Looks to me like pasacana or terscheckii due to the density of spines on the top...and I'd err on the side of pasacana.

Woah, just saw the TBM in the first post of this page. That's the most impressive one I've seen.

The spines and areoles on top look very much like pasacana. Not so much underneath, but it looks seedgrown, and immature spines tend to look like that on a lot of trichs.

The TBM, no idea how old it is. Your guess is probably as good as mine. Each knob will generally produce one to three new knobs a year.

The areoles, on top of your plant subbo look exactly the same as the areoles on top of a trich, which i have know to be a species passacana too, exactly the same, mines not much bigger, but some what alot more dense down along the ribs-

I'll get a pic up hopefully by tonight

That TBM is truly awesome, easily the best pic iv ever seen, let alone what i'v seen i real life!! its like this awesoem ground cover

I assume that those ones are cuttings, and with the small areoles and spines down the sides it is seed grown. Can't confirm this, but just going by similar behaviour in other species of trich.

Yeah man i was thinking the same thing - mines a lot darker green too, but the supposed passacanna in subbos pics, is sort of looking like mine as it gets older, cool i'll try have a pic up by tonight!!

I only got it about maybe two months ago, it was about $7.95 in a 4 inch tube (pot)

Going by that price i would say small tip cutting taken about spring last year, maybe 1 year old

here is a few more pix... do ya still think its a pasacanna???

Pallarensis is another possibility, but I'd still say pasacana because pallarensis tend to have shorter spines near the top, whereas pasacana spines tend to get quite long while they are on top. Keep those three names in mind, and in a few years, check it against pics.

Is that the one that I was saying looks like pasacana? It looks completely different, although it really wasn't that easy to see how the spination would turn out, I was just going mainly on the density it had at the top.
