The structure of securinin:

This alkaloid is contained in several species from de genere securinega( = fluggea). It is suspect to be a mild estimulant( i cant remenber where i have read this information).

I am interested in it beacause there are a securinega specie (S. tinctoria)this plant grows wildly in south of Spain.

I don't have my data cards with me but I seem to remember it has adrenergic effects.

Do you know where in south of Spain it grows? It is not in the Flora of Almeria.

Yes, very interesting. Too far for me to walk to find a Fluggea, though.
