Kangbingdu Koufuye

Recommended Posts

I recently had a cold and tried this chinese potion. It doesnt work as fast - or in drying a nose - as effectively as western pills you'd buy from a chemist but i personally felt a lot more fortified.

It contains the following:

Isatis root,

gypsum,

arundinaceous root, (doesn't say which reed?)

anemarrhena,

grass-leaved sweetflag,

patchouli,

weeping forsythia,

stevioside,

pure water

and antiseptic (sodium benzoate).

Some of the plants would be useful to grow in the ethno garden:

Isatis indigotina, Anemarrhena asphodeloids, Acorus calamus Linn (sweetflag - can even be used to sweeten breath), Pogostemon patchouli, Forsythia suspensa, Stevia rebaudiana (stevia leaves).

I also like the detailed notes on the box of little vials including 'please read and follow this instruction carefully or take it under the guide of a qualified Apothecary'. Better than 'if pain persists see a doctor' if you ask me.

Kangbingdu! (against the virus!)
