My hero....

Watch the guy who exposed corruption but could manage to make a joke out of it

at the same time, f**king genius. It was watching Human Traffic I first saw a 20

second clip with Bill Hicks, I think that was what initially made me start to ask some

questions about how screwed up the world is, these days its obvious to me why it

is screwed up but it never was back when I saw Human Traffic, I owe all my ranting

to Bill Hicks...

Stand up show

Bill Hicks' Legendary One Night Stand, 1990

http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=...476727111157120

One of the greatest guys ever. The thing about Bill that amazed me was that underneath all that acerbic wit and wisdom was a compassionate soul too good for this earth. He was ruthless with hecklers, and had a notorius reputation for it. What most never knew was that if you were the idiot foolish enough to open your mouth and suffer public eviseration or get hauled off, then Hicks would settle your tab. There's even an unconfirmed story about one guy he had thrown out who had outstanding warrants from an unpaid fine. When Hicks heard of his arrest he called a local bondsman and posted his bail.

I think that this dicotomy, and the well concealed heartbreak he carried contributed to the cancer that robbed us all of a profound insight wrapped in a funny box. I was blessed beyond belief to have been the MC the night he opened the local comedy club here. The manager of the club asked him if he would tone it down because the mayor and a few other "dignitares" were in attendence. Hicks was quick to assure this dolt, saying, "Oh, no problem. I do it all the time", and then throwing me a wink, and rolling his eyes to let me know he had no intention of the sort. When I introduced him, the first thing out of his mouth was "Fuck, what a great fucking night to be in a fucking town like fucking . . . ". I didn't know you could say it that many times in a sentence.

The day I found out he had died remains one of my saddest. At least we have some of his stuff recorded, but I've yet to be able to watch any of it without a tear (

Bill Hicks is one of my heroes.

I saw his last interview, in which he pretty much prophesized his demise, and that "they" would not allow someone like him to continue to ply his trade...he was right...I dont think his death was normal...but cannot be sure...

Bill Hicks was definately a wonderful soul.Every time that I listen to Rant In E Minor,I get a little bit teary eyed. He's another martyr that we're all still mourning over.

Another voice that tried to help the sheep escape their herders. He cared more for others than himself and he suffered dearly for it.I have little doubt that his cancer was induced by non-natural means.

But as Obi Won said in Star Wars,if you strike me down,I will become more powerful than you can imagine.

Bill Hicks may be dead, but his spirit lives on.It lives on in anyone who stands up for what they believe in.Anyone who says fuck you to the status quo and refuses to ingest their horseshit lies.

Bill's material came into my life at the right time.It was only about 2 years ago in fact. It's very strange how we discover things only when we are ready for them.

...for me such men never die. Their works comes in, like a Muse, when we are ready.

When I first saw his show, it was in London, when he went there. I laughed so hard that I nearly died. My friend had warned us to be quiet cause her parents were asleep upstairs. But then she put on Hicks...and being quiet went to hell.

I was so sore and in pain from some shit that had been happening to me, and he broke through it, so that I was almost delirious. I just could not cease laughing, and was literally rolling on her carpet, nearly having a siezure. My face and body were aching from the laughter. I had never heard anything or anyone like him. And my soul was resonating with every word, like he was my inner voice let loose finally...

I did not want even to go to my friend's house, to watch anything, but it was a cold wet night and we were starving from hunger. She said that she had some food for us, and wanted us to see this American comedian who was a "Plutonic" ball-buster...so I went. From that night I was converted. Then I was so sad to hear he died, but his last interview was played on tv, and his energy was beautiful. To this day, I know that HE KNEW his time was short, and that they were coming for him.

I love his appreciation of Metal music also, and anyone who, in his words, "played from the fucking heart!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I think the late comedian Bill Hicks summed it up perfectly in the 90's.He said"The news is the new enemy of the 90's."Only 12 years later, his message still holds true.

After five minutes of watching the news, one would think that a bird-flu infected Osama Bin Laden was outside their door waiting to get them.

I work near an interstate here in Indiana and when I-65 was closed for a few hours, there were people coming into my work saying "maybe it's terrorists."

This is the kind of ignorance and fear that is allowed into millions of households every single night. The mainstream media are not content with fearing you. No,they must also then get you to buy their products to help you forget that fear.Of course, that's only a temporary fix and they know you'll be back for more tomorrow.

Every day on the news,we see our nation being sold out from under our aching feet. The average American could not care less. The average American needs his beer, his meds, porno, and his sports to feel good about himself.

Nevermind the fact that he's getting poorer and poorer. His children are being tempted on all levels by all sorts of parasites and his wife is hopelessly depressed and addicted to pills.

This is how it is for the typical Americans family. For some, life is much worse. The typical American doesn't even bat an eye when he sees a homeless person on the street freezing and starving.Even with people starving around him in his own country,he'd rather complain about seeing it on television.

Here we are not only in the opening stages of a world war but also, perhaps the end of the planet as we know it.Sadly, most people sense it but then, medicate that feeling out of themselves.

We are being bombarded on so many levels by the media, the government, doctors, popular culture, chemtrails and many other ways.

Those of us who do know what's going on are being deemed as "conspiracy theorists" and maybe soon, terrorists and traitors.

It pains me to say it but fascism is back. It's not to the point of the Salem witch trials yet but as for tomorrow,it's anyone's guess.

I'm young so from where I'm standing, the future looks pretty negative even if we do defeat the Nephilim. Most humans are just as alien as any visitor from space.

My grandfather is 80 years old and he has to work every single day to make ends meat because himself, and my grandmother, cannot afford to live otherwise.

Social security isn't so secure or helpful.Plus,my grandparents have dignity so they refuse to live in a sterile nursing home.

What makes me furious is that my grandparents were supporters of politicians their whole lives. They helped raise money for the Republican party and met many politicians.Too bad no one told them it was a one party system.

My grandfather farmed for over 40 years and fed many people with his crops. This is how he is repayed by the system he gave his life for.To die in an apartment with little or nothing to his name.Working for crumbs and table scraps like some kind of fucking dog.

But.....My grandparents are happy as can be living their so called "golden years" this way.

This is why I am pissed off. This is why I will fight every day of my life. This is why I saw against the grain and refuse to take shit from anyone. My words shall become like daggers used to rip every lie apart that was ever sold or told to me.

That's right...the crimes that are being perpetrated are generational. The deface the NOW and the world of yesterday. This is what it takes to manipulate the whole of humanity. The victims vote for their own destruction. We say we love truth, freedom and justice, and then vote for their destroyers.

I am very conscious of the way that previous generations were duped, to do the bidding of the masters. From Roosevelt onwards it really heated up. He only got in because of McKinley's assassination, which sent shock waves through people. He came in on the back of designer chaos, as it is done today.

But there was a lot more politically awakened people then because the media machine did not really exist. Now, the media-engine generates lies and disinformation and subliminal manipulation at high frequency, making sure that group-think and consensus trance is maintained.

All over england and in this country, good hard-working families were obliterated. Thatcher's era saw the ruination of so many privately owned businesses. It was a systematic economic war against those who had built a nation.

Wars have been systematically and carefully engineered to wipe out the purest male blood in Europe. Germans had no intention of fighting the British, so Dresden was annihilated to make them angry enough. America had no intention to get involved in Europe' wars, so the Lusitania was sunk. Americans were getting too independent from goverment, so a Depression was engineered. Soviet Russia is no longer a threat, so its "Terrorism" and Americans fearing a pseudo-enemy created and funded by their own government. An illegal org called the Federal Reserve decides whether Americans work or die, and if they will have enough to retire on, while the pornographic-minded media moghuls give us the life and times of Paris Hilton and Hugh Hefner.

We have been fed on a diet of materialism and lies and wonder why we are coughing up our guts.

R.I.P William Melvin Hicks....

In 1983, Hicks began drinking heavily while using a massive regimen of illicit substances, including LSD, psilocybin, cocaine, MDMA, poppy tea, diazepam, Quaaludes and methamphetamine, which may have influenced his increasingly disjointed and angry, at times even misanthropic ranting style on stage. He continued attacking the American dream, hypocritical beliefs, and traditional attitudes. During his first experience with alcohol[citation needed], Hicks viciously attacked the audience in a drunken rage, after which, two Vietnam veterans took exception to his statements and sought him out after the show, breaking one of his legs and cracking one of his ribs.

Lol, i dont know much about this guy but that just made me laugh. ( mainly the vietnam vets breaking his leg lol)

Bill hick got famous for saying, very, very loudly what everyone who thinks for themselves wants to say.

he was an incredible cynic, but he was a cynic because he was a visionary who saw modern society for what it was and couldn't just be quiet about what a superficial & backwards society we are living in.

i think he certainly let it get to him way too much and thats probably what killed him in the end but at the same time that is what was so great about the man. he stood up and gave a big :wave-finger: to the establishment and very loudly expressed many views of the more awakened fringe.

Correct, so i know what i am talking about

But where you also a LSD, psilocybin, cocaine, MDMA, poppy tea, diazepam, Quaaludes and methamphetamine head?

Life ends in famine, poverty, disease and war without a good economy..

Im sure as an american he was talking about american social problems and im sure very few of those conditions u mentioned are a big american problems.

Exactly, any prick can dish it out, doesnt make them a genius or hero..

Never said he was a hero, like i said, i hardly knew about him, cept he spoke up for what he thought was right. what more can one ask from someone?

And also, you dont need a good economy to combat famine, poverty, disease and war, all you need is a fair system, whichever country you come from.

I think it was the king of napal that said it best, he likes to focus more on Gross National Happiness (GNH) rather then GDP.

The economy is the system.

economy is the system to a degree i guess, i get what ur saying tho.

Fair enough. Bill Hicks was a great standup comedian for what he was but he was no genius or hero like his little fanboys make him out to be. He is like the leader of the bong party just like leary was for lsd..

Ild agree with that,he was what he was.
