shruman Posted March 31, 2007 Hey all, since we got our first frost around here bout a week ago I decided to move my P. viridis plants inside, I have 20 plants ranging in size from 10-20cm in 2 chambers 50cm deep x 54cm wide x 70 cm high, I made a couple of reflectors with one of those party light strings on each, five fixtures a side for use with compact fluro lights, currently have 6 15w cfls in each hood at 12-12 on-off, temps are bout 25 deg C when lights are on, & they have good ventilation. Now the questions: 1. How many hours of light r best for P. viridis? 2. how many watts do u think I should b using? 3. Wot is optimal temperature for P. viridis? 4. Has anyone else grown Pschotrias under lights? if so any info u h ave would b appreciated. Thanx people
kadakuda Posted April 1, 2007 sounds liek yo got it ok. they will grow regardless. i grew mine under flouros for the first year, no where near as many as you. 3 3' bulbs. that got them 1.5 feet. i thought that was pretty good from leaf cuttings.
shruman Posted April 1, 2007 Thanks kadakuda, 45cm in a year from leaf cuttings does sound pretty good, hopefully I will be able to emulate that sort of growth. Do u know wot sort of temps u had? Did u mist them at all?
