Vertmorpheus Posted February 27, 2007 Evenin all... after recent rains found something mighty similar to book descriptions of G.sapineus sprouting from area of bark mulched soil immediately beneath a rotting black wattle log , couple years of rot going. Anyone dealt with this lil teacher before? Is it a teacher? Not listed as occuring in SEQ but we have some freaky microclimates at work. Can supply spores if anyone is up on their microexamination...sporeprint colour, gills, cap and whatnot all match, as do photos...mainly wondering about activity of the mushroom, ID second...I've been right so far.... happy huntin greendreams
shruman Posted February 27, 2007 Its listed on erowid as containing psilo but I would think it to be weak at b.est, like other gym's.
Mycot Posted March 14, 2007 Although possibly weaker than some other species, I wouldn't judge the desirability of a species on this quality alone. No sense in writing off a species before a proper amount of research cause its got a little less alkaloid. Experientially it may have qualities that make it quite unique and desirable.
