Agamemnon Posted January 10, 2007 (edited) Greetings fellow ethnos Living in a relatively isolated regional area, I am having trouble sourcing a reasonably priced organic bulk green tea product which is available to purchase online. The supermarkets have tea bags, tea bags , tea bags and chock ful of Chinese herb..God knows whats in it!!! Apart from the obvious health giving properties of green tea, I find it an excellent base for exploration of ethno "additives" in all its myriad and countless forms....thanx!! Conan Troutman Posted January 10, 2007 Have you tried the Dilmah brand green tea? Seems to make a better brew than all the other brands.

dqd Posted January 11, 2007 ... or there's always... Natural Health Direct & Paddymelon They also have green and white tea extracts! (The green tea has a min of 35% phenols with 5.4 - 9.1 % caffeine.) I've purchased from both in the past with no problems, a good product but not the top either - nothing drastic, just little things like the kg of mate was a little dusty (though the St. John's Wort turned out to be the good stuff and was an excellent price ). You certainly could do worse than to give one of these guys a go I feel

Alice Posted January 11, 2007 Check out:http://www.theteacentre.com.au/ They are tea specialists and have a HUGE range of teas to choose from. I buy all my white and green tea from here and they offer Australia wide delivery. went to check out their store that recently opened in hornsby, asked about mate and they said they no longer stock it coz no one buys it! grr... they have excellent blends but do not sell the ingredients separately (eg passionflower is only available in a blend). but apart from that they are well worth checking out, tho a little pricey. soooo many teas from sooo many regions

onz Posted January 13, 2007 mmmm twinings twinings twinings!!! Not sure about green tea though. This thread reminds me of this thread, but I'm confused. Does green tea really have more caffiene than black? Coz twinings website doesn't agree.
