gomaos Posted December 6, 2006 Damn! I'm such a fool. a few months ago this young dude came to my house and made me agree to sponsor a child overseas through PLAN. I agreed to have 40 dollars taken out of my account every month. Three months passed, and by the end of every month 40 dollars were taken out of the account. Now during this time I may have got some business letters from my bank which I put on the side, and, thinking they were just boring account statements, forgot... Well until I opened a letter from the bank yesterday. Which told me that I had been slapped with a dishonour fee of 40 bucks. I rang plan and they said that the last 3 months all their attempts to draw money from my account, had bounced. So I had that picture of that little girl in Central America on my fridge, thought I was looking after her, and really I wasn't... What irony of fate. The rich bank took the starving kid's money. Yes, it was my fault I was never good at bureaucracy, on the day they wanted to debit the money there was none in the account but couldn't they have waited a couple of days until there was some money? That bank knows me for several years, and they don't trust me for 2 days? Well all banks are like that but can't they make an exeption in this case?
