Torsten Posted November 29, 2006 If you get busted one of the things the cops do is to keep very close tabs on you. This is because a repeat offence in the pretrial period makes their case so much easier as they can already document it wasn't an isolated case and that the defendant can't be trusted. A good lawyer will tell you to stay 100% clean, keep away from places where drugs are consumed or possibly present, and to not associate with people who are into drugs. This includes getting rid of your address book and even changing your mobile phone sometimes. So, while it is good for folks to post about their experiences on these forums, it is best if they keep it 100% anonymous until after the trial is over. The simple presence of a defendant on these forums is enough to make their case just that little bit harder. So, with the recent bust of a member here and his appeal for information on these forums, it is the best to actually delete the whole thread for the safety of the member. While it is quite safe for that member to stay on these forums in this case, it is not safe to provide ANY details about the case.
