Guest reville Posted November 6, 2002 Yeah mine are going well too. They seem pretty tough little things - but they dont really hurry to put on root growth. I used perlite under 24hr fluorescent tubes. I feed them little by little a weak weak hydroponic nutrient. Once those leaves harden off a little the risk is virtually over.It seems to be safer (less fungus worries) if they are kept in a slightly drier mix. Mine tok a little under 1 month to be hard enough to be put into a potting mix- Im hoping contact with benign soil microflora will encourage greater root formation ? planthelper Posted November 6, 2002 re, i guess ( i got that info from be own autopsy{ having had a quite big plant once}) it likes forming loooooong, but thiiiin roots in you guessed it extreem friable soil! perlite sounds good, corse river sand aswell but sore guys i cant lift that heavy stuff... rev: you put it well saying they are "tuff"! i just love beeing part of nature, and i got hundreds of premantis together with spiders and other insects protecting me plants...those doorkeepers as you called them appeared all naturally in my garden... peoples actions can scare me, plant spirits scary teachings things did heal me! bye,
