Noveltea Posted August 5, 2002 hi, An elf who lives across the river recently asked me whether any acacia species had higher levels of tryptamines produced during summer? do levels vary? -as she had noticed that the acacia extract obtained during summer months seemed to be of a higher quality than that which has been around during past winter months.(note;always from the same source)

Noveltea Posted August 5, 2002 hi, yeh, twas a bit brief sorry.. the source has been the same cook(dont know which parts of the plant were being used). I'm not too sure on the exact species but the cook lives 'up-nth' byron nimbin way, so im guessing it'd be a common to that area. I've just found some info describing variations in alkaloid levels depending on health, location and season of the plant...so i think my hunch was right. faustus Posted August 6, 2002 Damn I wish i lived up that way there must be so many damned elves my elf has never smelt elfspice before *hint hint* yeah i'll second that. my elf has spent the past 2 years reading all about such spices, dreaming of a day when bark or spice is offered to him by other helpful hyperspatial elves. toby Posted August 6, 2002 hi twix, around here there are some (not heaps)of maidenii in parks and some industrial areas as landscaping at this moment they are flowering and can be picked by the paler colour yellow than longifolia or sophrae, and sometimes by the pruned branches, for parks try northern slightly western suburbs, and inner city for industrial, wouldn't really like to be too specific...
