Hey guys a while back Moses on the forums was awsome enough to send me pollen from a CPM of his from SA, so i could be sure that the genetics were not the same as mine, as I'm pretty sure that Cereus is self-infertile? I beleive this, because when i went to cut open a flower through the day, to attempt my first pollination by hand (EVER), i found the natural Tricho pollinator the Giant Australian Moth just chilling in there gett his mad 'nom nom' on in my flowers anthers...I dont know how i managed to avoid him when i cut like 3/4 wzay round the flower before i realised he was there. I decided to leave the hand pollination attempt alone to see if it would happen naturally knowing the natural pollinatior was at work, but the back part of the stem of the flower (bit that turn into fruit) also dropped off shortly after the flower did. I then did the hand pollination like 2 hours after nightfall about 4 weeks ago, and about 6 weeks after originally receiving the pollen and storing it in the fridge. My frist ever hand pollination, and it was a sucess, but now i want to know will there certainly be seed in the fruit, and will it be viable? See my 2 posts below for pics of mum and dad too The pics remind me of Jay and Silent Bob .....'Oh you little fuck...rub my nose in it'
