hey guys n gals, This maybe applicable to some of you and you may not even realise.. so please tell others about this aswell.. I moved back home with my parents over a year ago after some personal problems with ice, long story short i came home with some convictions..nothing drug related, mainly violence, besides the point. Mum's been paying the home insurance thinking everything is fine when in fact we may not have even been covered at all... https://www.theguardian.com/money/2009/feb/01/home-insurance-family-finance-criminal after speaking with the insurance company for the last few days they have decided they wont cover my Mum and Dad's house because im living here with a criminal record...accroding to them its too high risk for them to cover the house anymore...had Mum not found this clause in the agreement they would have happily kept taking money and if something were to happen to the house theyd have a perfectly legal loophole to bend us over...now there is the problem of needing the insurance for the home loan... major dramas. I hope someone reads this and maybe you can save yourselves the heartbreak of not being able to claim anything because of this clause.. if anyone has any advice or anything to add please leave a reply thanks for your time cheers Saylor
Heya everyone, Just thought I'd take the opportunity to hopefully benefit from any and all of the advice you might be able to offer to a guy keen on the whole thing but a complete novice. I've made a nice sum from my earlier investments into Bitcoin and am now looking to branch out a portion of that money into a more physical and workable revenue stream. I'd be enormously grateful for anything you might be able to contribute! I'll break it down so maybe any of your thoughts can be more easily directed. I'm looking into getting some property. Mostly plant based agriculture with maybe chickens or something for eggs (possibly beekeeping). Land between $50,000 - $500,000..with the upper end only if myself and friends pool funds. Looking to start this as in investment / 'gap year' opportunity. Spending a year minimum on building and renovating a farm into a scalable residents that provides through being a permaculture property. How many people do you think would be manageable? What kind of acreage? Sought after professions/expertise? Other expansions to this I might have overlooked? Hidden costs? Upkeep? Solar / wind / ??? integration and initial costs? Being from an I.T background I'm interested in setting up some semi automated systems based on aquaponic and hydroponic setups. Large scale edible mushroom production would also be quite viable. Is this a dangerous idea to be undertaken by a relatively amature hobbyist such as myself. What would be good crops? Locations (Vic)? Your experiences? Does anyone here own any large properties that's for farming or was previously? I'm also a little concerned (a lot really) about locations that are prone to bush fires... Not sure how to go about minimising that risk factor. Ok before I make this look any worse... I'll finish now before massacring your eyes with this shocking formatting. Hope to hear ya ideas :D LUWA ._.
Need some Amazonian spore prints...will do a trade...! Or just general Cubensis.... Hit me up...PM me. Modalert...;), please put this in the right category if its in the wrong section...I'm just in a bit of a rush. Thanks guys...all feedback is welcomed! Peace, Psych Master.
I've been doing some learning lately, and I've been finding a few good sources of information that I wanted to share. So I thought we could start working on a big thread with a whole bunch of resources and information for people who want to start learning or further their knowledge with mycology. Feel free to share your knowledge people! For Melbournians, here is a really comprehensive Psilocybe Subaeruginosa hunting and identification guide: http://endofthegame.net/2012/05/09/psychedelic-mushrooms-and-you/ (includes identification, habitat, imposters, drying, photos and more) And here's a thread on shroomery with some more Psilocybe Subaeruginosa habitat photos: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/16164170/fpart/all Here's a neat online mushroom identification tool to help narrow down the possibilities: http://www.rogersmushrooms.com/gallery/chooser.asp (although i wouldn't trust it unconditionally, i think this can be helpful for beginners like myself to learn faster) Here's a good series of videos about growing mushrooms which I was recommended by migraineur: http://www.mushroomvideos.com/ (you'll have to pay for full access, though) Here is a list of books about Australian fungi specifically, for those with the money to track down and buy a copy: http://www.fungibank.csiro.au/topic_7_2.htm (if anyone has an opinion on any of these books I'd love to hear it. I'm considering buying one, but there's very limited information about them and a distinct lack of reviews)
