  1. I have fairly long hair but its falling out pretty quickly so i read this and started to worry but thought about it for a while and i'm pretty sure that at the rate my back, shoulders, nose and ear hair is growing I have absolutely nothing to worry about...I may even be turning into some kind of super-electromagnetic receiver of some kind, hopefully it will improve my wifi :)

  2. seen this on another forum...apparently if you are not on facebook you are a serial killer

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...uspicious.html

Quote: Facebook has become such a pervasive force in modern society that increasing numbers of employers, and even some psychologists, believe people who aren't on social networking sites are 'suspicious.'

The German magazine Der Taggspiegel went so far as to point out that accused theater shooter James Holmes and Norwegian mass murder Anders Behring Breivik have common ground in their lack of Facebook profiles.

On a more tangible level, Forbes.com reports that human resources departments across the country are becoming more wary of young job candidates who don't use the site.

    Facebook

Normal: Facebook has become so pervasive in this culture that not having a profile is considered 'abnormal'

The common concern among bosses is that a lack of Facebook could mean the applicant's account could be so full of red flags that it had to be deleted.

Slate.com tech reporter Farhad Manjoo wrote in an advice column that young people shouldn't date anyone who isn't on Facebook.

  3. I hope theres a day in the future when I am old and grey, and I am sitting in circle with my grown-up kids and their grown-up kids and I can tell the tale from before 'the great enlightenment' when the corporations evil media propoganda machine attacked a little defenceless community of enlightened people and the great-grandkids will roll their eyes at another one of funny ol' grandpas stories of the old days when "plants" were illegal...."as if grandpa", they would say "why would sacred plants that help us to connect to our divine energy ever be outlawed grandpa, ya silly old duffer!!!

  4. this one is pretty cool, but i think i may have originally got the link from here a while ago...anyways its worth a looksee http://leftinthedark.org.uk/book

    Description

Left in the Dark expounds the most radical reinterpretation of existing evidence from the disciplines of evolution, ecology, neurology, psychology, anthropology and other academic fields, whilst also placing the ancient ‘Ages of Mankind’ mythology and related traditions within a scientific context. These universal traditions were once the only version of history we had, they describe the onset and progression of a neurodegenerative condition that really has left us in the dark. Often considered no more than the imaginings of a primitive mind and easy to dismiss as mere myths, they are in fact a more accurate natural history of humankind than modern science has thus far recognised. The book outlines the origin and nature of a condition that eventually left us virtually blind to its existence. Evidence is cited that supports such a scenario. A means of definitively testing its validity is proposed and most importantly what can be done to treat the condition and prevent its occurrence. While this may seem a challenging prospect it promises amongst other things the restoration of phenomenal abilities, exceptional immune function and most importantly a greatly enhanced state of mind and well being only rarely glimpsed by a tiny minority.

The revised 2nd edition of 'Left in the Dark' with a foreword by Dr Dennis McKenna is now available.

A neurodegenerative theory, such as the one outlined in Left in the Dark, which proposes that the development of our brain has become seriously retarded would accurately predict a number of major psychological symptoms.

For example making sense of who or what we are or recognising the insanity of our day to day behaviour would be virtually impossible.

Furthermore such a theory would predict that even if there were overwhelming evidence to support such a scenario we would be slow to understand the context, specific nature and severity of our predicament, even if it were pointed out in laypersons language…

  5. my two cents....I have been going to the bdo on the goldie since soundgarden and the ramones headlined and have noticed the police presence building over the years. i have seen the dogs out the front in the morning a few times but fortunately havent come across them on the inside(touch wood).

there are unfortunately a ridiculous amount of clowns that go to the goldcoast bdos and i have no issues with the popo's being there to deal with any violence that may occur but wonder why are they picking on the kids at festivals, why not take the sniffer dogs to the turf club on race days and the sanctuary cove boat show and what about little johnny's athletics carnival and I'm pretty sure most of those soccer mums are hopped-up on goofballs

  7. the chief of the d.squad says it all..... "HUMAN NATURE' would dictate that demand will always be there for illicit substances"

So basically he would seemingly agree that it is only human to want to explore your consciousness... Unless I got it all wrong and he's just talking about that dodgy boy-band
