  1. look into the ingredients if you ever plan on consumption philo - plant growth regulators are used in the commercial mj hydro scene. The types used have been banned due to the high toxicity and carcinogenic properties. things like cyco flower ( this one has changed ingredients to please the health authorities and now contains paclobutrazol )or you may have heard of super-bud but its used to regulate the growth cycle (obviously ) -

I have heard that 80% of stuff grown here in s.a contains this stuff - it causes the plant to not have a growth-spurt when the photo-period is reduced and for all the energy to be diverted into flowering. It causes super solid flowers with less smell and less trichome production ... and the odd mutation ! and i have heard that the people in the know that use this shit refuse to touch any themselves ! its all about weight = profit. pgr's

A lot of these pgr's are natural and there are many types with differing modes of action - I could be completely wrong but if ya going to cosnume your cacti its worth looking into.

Im sure theres a lotta crew here better informed and i may get correctedbut thats my two cents :D

  2. what a ferkin tear jerker ! Thats amazing ! And hats off to the family... if they had have blindly accepted 95% of the medical advice given they would never had tried the stillnox ! what an amazing fiancee too... that there is true love ! why are you after a text version zen ped ? are you deaf ?

  3. yeah - thats what i was thinking - most of the subs i pick are in eucalypt plantations - and under a type of local fern. So i suppose the best i can do is grab a trailer full of eucalypt mulch ( semi decomposed )from my mate who works in tree removal, and take a trailer down to a fewlocal spots... spread my compost then evenly spread my mycelium ( been growing from stem buts in hessian ) and mix all my excess dried mushroom dust ( spores ((must be billions of them)) and finely ground material from under my drying screens put it all in a super soaker and spray the shit out of my secret little spots) ! Its been a terrible season here in S.A ( dried up way too quick as i can see has been happening everywhere else from another thread). Then hopefully if the conditions throughout the year are favourable my patches will go nuts if not next year then the following. Id build my own patch at home but think this is preferable for my circumstances. Cheers for the info guys !

  4. Is there any way besides redistributing spores and mycelium that i can increase the yield of my local natural outdoor patch for subs ?

Would adding a cheap organic fertiliser during winter this year, help feed the mycelium and promote fruiting next season ? If i was to say spread a heap of blood'n'bone around known productive patches ?

  5. There is speculation that choppers use Infra red detection equipment to pick up heat signatures of hydroponic set-ups in suburban adelaide ! I have not seen or heard evidence of this - but it seems theoretically possible ?

  6. well apparently the zodiachs are technically out are they not ?

I was born oct 30th and i am suppose to be a scorpio but apparently i am actually a libran due to the earth wobbling on its axis !

The dates have never been updated to take the Earth's Precession into account so you probably aren't what you think you are... and i believe technically there is actually a thirteenth sign as well isn't there ?

I always thought i shared the traits of a typical scorpio but i think its more likely they are just traits inherent among humans across the board.

  7. id advise to do aff (aerial free flight) stage one instead of tandem, but that requires 2 four hour in house tutorials and allows you to jump with ya own chute but two instructors holding you stable on exit and until you pull ( its roughly the same price but if you enjoy and get the bug your allready on your way) !- then you canopy down solo - prices have risen with insurance and fuel costs since i got my a licence a few years ago, so call for a price - and if you do it here and came up with me im sure i could get you a 10% discount ( even if i had to pack a few chutes for em or something ) - so if ya keen ring sa- skydiving and chase it up ! the dropzone is an old farm out near callington - or murray beidge if ya know that town! real cool as there are about twenty caravans and some of the more adventurous go stay and party up there for the weekend ! by stage seven ( seventh jump if you dont have to repeat any ) your doing head first dive exits by yourself, 360 turns, somersaults, tracking and all sorts of cool stuff !

  8. Is that not how most people selling lw's set their price ?

really most of the prices are exorbitant if you think about it !

Its inherant (generally) in human nature to get as much as you can for what your selling ?

if i have an old car i know is worth 600 dollars and someone that doesn't know anything comes along and offers me 1200 dollars.. most would be stoked to sell it for double the price and are going to try get as much as they can from the deal ! I mean who would say - "no - that is too much too pay mate its not worth that much you can have it for what its worth" ? unless it's to a friend or being sold by someone with very strong morals...anyone selling is doing so for profit !

And if hamiltons are importing them for next to nothing whats stopping someone cashed up in melbourne ( or wherever they are legal to posess ) from buying a shitload of mature lophs in bulk ( to make the quarantine costs feasible ) and then selling them on here or ebay and making an absolute killing ? I thought it was illegal to import lophs ?

And yes the lady at hamiltons did say they were all buttons removed and rooted from a caesposita ! She was very helpfull in prices and what in her belief were fair prices for what i have been looking at !

  9. well it takes roughly ten seconds and one thousand feet to reach terminal velocity ( in box postion )

The reccomended height to deploy at my dz is at 3-3.5 thousand feet to allow times to sort out line twists or various malfunctions and deploy reserve chute if needed. we jump from a cessna which struggles to get to 14,000 feet -- 10 seconds for the first thousand and five seconds for every thousand feet after that. so my freefall time is generally about about a minute. but we do hop'n'pops from 3000 feet where ya gotta pull almost immediately or ya can do a canopy ride with instant deployment at 14000 feet.

This varies as some nutbags will disable their cyprus' ( a safety device that fires your chute at the height you program it for in case of being knocked unconscious somehow and unable to deploy ) and see how low they can pull. One guy at my dropzone is named johnny250 as he deplayed at 250 feet to win - and at terminal velocity being 5 seconds per 1000 ft he was technically 1.25 seconds from bouncing before his chute deployed ( very foolish - but he is a madman - ex sas ) although this wasnt measured he may have been 2 seconds from impact

But sometimes they hire jet turbine planes with oxygen masks so you can jump from a much higher altitude than a shitty prop driven cessna plane - so more freefall time. but this rarely happens in adelaide due to cost !

if you mean flights up - it takes twenty to thirty minutes in our cessna to reach altitude - packed in like sardines with everyone farting in your face as the gas in your stomach expands with less atmospheric pressure - funny stuff sometimes - but generally putrid :P as for wingsuit flights im not too sure tripsis !

you in adelaide tripsis ? come out and have a jump mate - i can tell ya wanna ;)

edit cause im semi illiterut ;)

  10. An interesting quote :

History... is an aggregation of truths, half-truths, semi-truths, fables, myths, rumors, prejudices, personal narratives, gossip, and official prevarications. It is a canvas upon which thousands of artists throughout the ages have splashed their conceptions and interpretations of a day and an era. Some motifs are grotesque and some are magnificent. ~Philip D. Jordan

  11. Now this is interesting - i just called hamiltons - they have caespositas approximately 9/10 cm going for ---- wait for it ---- 60 dollars. NOW THAT PUTS A LOT OF THINGS INTO PERSPECTIVE ! I can safely say i agree with you now cactuscarl !!!!!!!!!!!!

9/10 cm for sixty dollars compared to one not much bigger at all for 500 dollars - well its blatantly obvious is it not ????? :BANGHEAD2:

    beware the uninformed noob !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

( edit to not offend anyone too much )

  12. that video of the guy hitting thr bridge is intense! one guy was flying under it while the guy that hit was going over it. The clang it made was horriffic! I think the suits provide 30ft of foward motion for every 30ft of decent???

The rate of descent is actually 1/2.5 ( and now they are pushing 3:1 ) - so for every thousand feet of vertical descent, 2500 feet plus is gained horizontally.

  13. Torsten i concede !

I am in no position to intellectually joust with a man of your intellect ( no sarcasm - said sincerely ) And i did say i thought you were right and your mathematical reasoning sounded more robust in my post above, so i believe i had agreed i was incorrect right there :D

Just hope your not scaring any of my potential future jumping buddies from trying something they had been thinking about :D

Come for a little trip down to adelaide T - id love to throw you out of a plane - I reckon you would love it too
