    Ok - ill throw in the first suggestion.... How about a sticky with FAQ

    For each frequently asked question you could have one or more links to previous threads where the topic has allready been discussed thouroughly ? Its really the same as 'utfse' but may help new members from asking the same questions incessantly ? maybe ? I dont know what the logistics of this would be... I am but a newb myself ( long time lurker but still a newb )

    Its a tough one for this sub-forum as the range of plants discussed are vast and the relevant information is huge !

    Great idea though planthelper ! stick with it :P

    ill add to the giveaway - id prefer it to go to a member with a genuine interest in cacti who does not yet have one in their collection !

    fuck - I just watched earthlings for the first time !

    Why is it i cannot help but looking ? No matter how much i know i dont want to see it ?

    That was so disturbing, i mean i knew that stuff happened but fuck ! that opened my eyes ! I am now officially a vegetarian, and thats is said with conviction. Something id really rather not have seen but it HAS spurred me to make a change. Maybe in SOME circumstances a shock like that, presented in a tactful way, can be a catalyst for change. So i suppose my perspective has changed slightly after watching that !

    And for the record i had no objections to the op !

    this thread gives me such a bad vibe....

    I mean come on... really ? this may be an a simile, but i think it makes a point : we all know pedophillia and child abuse is wrong on all levels, but i would not agree with images of such to be posted on public forums to raise awareness.

    Having the curiosity of all human beings, no matter how hard i tried i could not stop myself from coming in to see what this thread contained, and unfortunately some of these pictures have affected me quite deeply ! I respect most opinions written above and am not here to debate ! These pictures do not change my intent or my values or my ethics.

    When humankind as a whole learns to foster love and inter-connectedness these kind of events will diminish, and at risk of sounding utopian, even cease to occur ! re-hashing evil in this way is not the way to move forward.

    If you want to change these things ...do we start putting up these photo's in schools around the world, to educate the children of the evils that are out there ? Is that not fostering fear and loathing ? Would it not be better to ( whilst not ignoring or forgetting these events ) nurture love and focus on the beautifull things in life ? Compassion, humility, love, philanthropy e.t.c ?

    I am no philosopher nor am i an intellect - this is just an opinion and i dont want to cause further argument or offense ( i am not targeting individuals here ). Just felt i had to say my piece.

    no - no reason. I have seen a japanese company on the net that supposedly made a very realistic smelling cologne that was called skunk ( among other strange ones like urine :scratchhead: ). But when i tried finding the link I couldn't find the one i was looking for, so i just put up the only one i could find.

    just spamming ;)

    (edit) sorry - i did not read the links in op's post and was under the impression that nobody was aware of any mj scented colognes. I was mistaken :blush: ... i often forget the level of knowledge on this forum far exceeds mine ! I should learn to do less spamming and more listening ;)

    if we cant grow "hemp" in aus cos it has negligble traces of thc what would make the oil any diff?

    whenever i have taken acacias out from the ground - two weeks previous i will go and push a spade in around the perimeter a foot. then the following week i will push it down another foot. I was told this will cause it to create more of a root mass within the cut zone - Then i will remove and transplant. It seemed to work for me - but im not a professional horticuluralist ! This is info passed on by another member and has worked every time - as for transplanting bare-rooted like that im really not sure ?

    Its hard to disseminate the facts with such a controlled and biased media often reporting to support an agenda ! Who can really know for sure ?

    I cant but help think of the port arthur massacre and the many unanswered questions left in the wake of that atrocity. Whatever is happening is evil and is fuelling the fear and hatred in the world.

    R.I.P to all those lost and my thoughts and prayers to all those affected ( the whole of humankind )

    I tried using the search engine on this one, but could not find what i was after.

    My question is :

    If in the future, laws are brought into effect outlawing the posession or trade of various plants and cacti( that at this point in time are still legal), Can the photos and information we post now on these plants ( e.g san pedro ) be used by the authorities to provide sufficient evidence for a warrant or to build a case against a forum member, acting well within the law at the time of posting ? It would be very easy for the law to see who has large collections of these ethnobotanicals by reading the forums !

    As unfortunately I think that the laws regarding these currently legal plants will be tightened eventually ! :BANGHEAD2:

    I personally have a completely unblemished record. I would hate to think my legal posts, trades and pictures could be used against me in the future ! :scratchhead:
