  2. I might be mistaken, but from what I have read, the comet will not be very visible or spectacular from Australia ( or the southern hemisphere in general )

In the week or two before closest approach to the Sun or perihelion the comet will be visible low in the east before sunrise. It should be getting brighter, but also closer to the horizon each morning. If the comet grows a visible tail, it should be pointing upwards, away from the rising Sun.

After perihelion as the comet moves towards the Earth we will not be able to get much of a look from the southern hemisphere. It will be neither an evening nor a morning object for in the evenings the comet will set before the Sun and in the mornings it will rise with the Sun.

Assuming the comet does not fade away like some comets of the past, for those of us in the southern hemisphere the best chance to see Comet ISON will be from mid to late November 2013 in the mornings before sunrise and in the daytime about the date of perihelion on 29 November 2013.

Almost worth a trip up to Greenland or somewhere cool :D

  3. Hey guys,

Big apologies to all i have not been in touch with... i have a few trades ( organised as payment on arrival ) that are still pending and one pup from my crested bridgessii still to come to Jack. they will be sent this friday along with the package i am about to put up for sale now.

photos are available in this album on photobucket

Up for grabs is a pink variegate loph, grafted 2cm

partially variegate loph ??? seed grown and healthy - 5cm

lophophora williamsii caespitosa 7cm with shitloads of pups ( grafted on spach )

loph williamsii 6cm grafted on spach ( flowering like a demon )

8cm loph williamsii - healthy flowering and pupping profusely

4.5 cm grafted loph williamsii on pach - yet to flower, healthy lil baby :)

there is also a photo of my crested bridgessii previously featured in my last giveaway comp, which i believe is a first in australia... if it is sold it will be sold without one centre pup ( which is going to jack after being carefully removed in sterile conditions ) I am asking a big price for this one as it is rare and it is my favourite baby.... but desperate times call for desperate measures. If you love your freaks as much as me or wish to divide and propagate and profit from this plant it has great potential. Asking price is $ 500 and wont be negotiated on.. either way I'm happy.

    all gone, many thanks...

  4. By letting flower early does that mean you have control of the photo period ?

If so there are certain natural plant hormones that can produce a greater number of flower sites before forcing flower.

If you remove the first layer of fruit after 7- 8 weeks and do a second harvest of the more sheltered internal fruits you can significantly increase yield. By reveg, if you mean after harvest, you can increase your photo period and induce the plants back into vegetative state and go through the process again, saving some time instead of starting from a baby again.

Or are we just talking standard tomatoes here ? ( I have only really ever grown killer tomatoes )
