Im guessing it will be around $1.00 or $1.25 per cm. its a pretty common species but a cutting like that might be hard to come by, but ill see how it goes. 1.00 AUD = 0.827924 EUR -

I just transplanted some suckers today but have a few rooted ones lying about. i have a 15-20 cm rooted one i could do for 15 but i would prefer a trade if you have something interesting. Where are you located? Im near Freo.

Nice one. Are they Wiliamsii? because i have tried germinating them in the past and have realized my critical errors. a few came through but they must have some good genetics. i also gave texanas a go and had around a 95% germination rate. i would love to give the williamsii another go as i have some rooted peres cuttings ready to go. Cheers man.

Acacia Acuminata Transplantation
Alienteaparty replied to Alienteaparty's topic in Australian Native Plants
That's a shame, i hate to watch old trees go like that. Why did they cut down such an old specimen? -
Howdy, So today i transplanted an Acacia Acuminata (age unknown but im guessing 1 year). Although the plant looks alright at the moment it did suffer some root damage, mainly to the roots branching off the tap root but the tips of the taproot did get a tiny tiny bit of damage. I wanted to ask if there is anything i can do to minimize stress on this plant? Because iv read that acacias are very sensitive to root damage. should i keep the soil moist or should i keep it fairly dry?

Acacia Acuminata Transplantation
Alienteaparty replied to Alienteaparty's topic in Australian Native Plants
Wow! sorry for the late reply guys and thank you for sharing your knowledge on the subject. Sadly the acacia didn't make it too long, although it withstood the shock well beyond my expectations ( 3-4 weeks). I buried it fairly deep straight into the ground surrounding its roots with shitty Perth sand and i dug a trench around it so that the water had time to sink in. It was in a shady area that got a few hours of filtered sunlight throughout the day. I also sprayed the foliage with filtered worm juice from my worm farm (this stuff is liquid gold! for anyone who didn't know) and misted it regularly considering that it was a hot dry summer and all. It actually withstood the heat quite well; its leaves stayed plump and fresh for at least Three weeks, but after that some of the younger foliage started dying off so i began trimming it as to minimize stress on the plant. Eventually the tree decided that it couldn't take any more and it was meant for greater things. With a tear glistening in my eye i let it go and ripped it out of the ground for good. What an amazing tree, It did its best to survive through those hard times and came damn close to living a luxurious life in my backyard. But It did in fact make some awesome smelling fire wood that burnt for ages and went up in a fractylized milky-way of rainbow smoke and jewel encrusted self dribbling basketballs. The moral of this story is that i really believe this acacia could of made it with this treatment if its taproot wasn't subjected to any damage. So try your luck at an Acuminata transplant and remember to dig deep! (literally). Peace! -
The last track I made, should I continue?
Alienteaparty replied to Opticaldelusion's topic in Creativity, Spirituality & Philosophy
Thats my soundcloud. most of the stuff on there is pretty outdated. it was all produced on logitech speakers but i had fun making these tracks anyway even if not dynamically rich. Oh their all bits and bobs aswell no real full tunes. -
Ok. iv tried uploading a few images onto the gallery but i keep getting this error message when i click "review and publish" [#1-gallery-review-process-5] Sorry, but you do not have permission to use this feature. If you are not logged in, you may do so using the form below if available. Any help is appreciates as i would like to upload a few images for cacti identification and just general browsing. Cheers.

pretty sweet tune. i dig it! Although the levels of some sounds fx need to be mixed down appropriately and the bass needs more umph around 50 hz. keep going with this i used a pair of adam a7x's to listen to this tune. BTW are you on soundcloud? -
Not to worry all worked out. i just went through my settings.

I have tried and tested neem oil on many plants before and it has worked wonders, although you need to use an emulsifier such as washing detergent.
