  1. Was that grown from seed labeled T pachanoi oxy??? Ive got three or 4 like that, im sure that gerbil has a couple similar also, our lots were from "t pachanoi" seed.

Very nice plants oxy, lotsa rosei in there imo. Oh and ya suspect melbs knuthi looks to be yowie.

That's the ticket PD, I didn't germinate them myself but obtained them as seedlings from pachanoi seed (can't remember who from tho) - would have been ~4.5 years ago. Nothing vaguely resembles pachanoi from that lot tho!

And apologies to all about the nomenclature of the specimens. I was never any good at labelling my cuts so your input is most appreciated!

  2. Before things start to get too cold I am looking to offload some of my cacti. Also, the finance minister has placed sanctions on the purchasing of new pots so I need to cull numbers a bit.

So, please peruse the gallery for anything you might be interested in. Most cacti are ~1m so cuts can be made as long or as short as desired and will be all tips. Prices will be sorted upon request via PM - standard $1/cm or $1.5/cm for thick cuts. I can't really be stuffed with post so metro delivery is offered or mutual meeting place if that's your thing.

And sorry easties! If your postcode does not start with a 6 please do not request for this round!

Edit: Golgatha, Macro? and SS1 x SS2 tips have gone - log cuts of these still available

  3. My lord, I forgot how massive that middle cut was - the 2L coke bottle looks puny next to it! GoOnThen, it was better that you cut them now - if you propagate like crazy for the first year or so you can plant all the pups out and let them grow to their full glory! Just goes to show what a 40cm pot with good cacti mix in it and plenty of sun and water can do for any trich!

Anywho, after examining the mother plants from the cuts I gave you, the two unknown strains (from the first pic) are ex-SAB clones. The pach-looking is most likely "lance" but the middle gargantuan I cannot find the name for. It was offered for sale ~ 3-4 years ago and it was a little more $$ due to the degree of blueness that the clone develops - I'm pretty sure it had a feminine name. Perhaps Torsten could shed some light of the subject in place of my shambolic labeling system?

  4. i might do a car boot sale this weekend for the people in perth! :P pm me if interested, fair bit of grafting stock!

Shit yeah, I have a metric ton of cacti to offload as well, how does Saturday sound for the car boot sale?

  5. Bah, what a joke. All this will do is piss off pharmacists and legitimate users of these products. We see pharmacy shopping quite often as there are 3 pharmacies in close proximity to the store I work at and this is only gonna make it worse.

So according to my calculations the pack size for nurofen+ will become 40.

Maybe they should make 100mg codiene tablets available on prescription so people can get their hit without destroying their bodies.

30mg straight codeine tablets are available on prescription but they are S8

  6. Most of the Australian available flu vaccines don't contain thiomersal, which hasn't been shown to have any deleterious effects anyway.

Given that oseltamivir is synthesised from a substance found in star anise, I wonder if star anise would have any anti viral activity on it's own?

Further, I wonder how hard the synthesis is? Bootleg Tamiflu anyone?

    Hard, very hard

  7. It was the cops fault, it was the sniffer dogs fault, it was the drug dealers fault, it was the rides fault...

I think unfortunately the majority of blame lies with the victim herself

She was was 17, probably weighed all of 50kgs

On a day like Sunday where it was stinkin hot anyone would have struggled in that situation with 3 pills in them.

I was there, and had a really good time. When I woke up to this news it really put a downer on the experience, knowing that this girl was dying from a silly mistake while we were celebrating.

    RIP. A sad tragedy.

  8. Yep, the first few set have those funny little pinnate leaves but all sets thereafter are normal

Kinda reminds me of a mate that was growing the waccy-baccy overseas - the first set of leaves came out all round and he thought he'd been taking for a ride... then the second set of leaves came out

  9. She's been hooked for 3 years and knows she's addicted

I would hesitate to use the word addiction, which implies that she would be having serious drug seeking behaviour and be needing larger amounts of the drug to get the same effect

These pills are sum of that fancy new micro bead slow release technology. Once she gets onto the lowest dose ones, is it possible to half or quarter these pills sumhow? Just half the beads and recap?

Yup, the beads are the controlled release mechanism, you can count them out to ensure an accurate dose - no need to recap them either. Efexor is notoriously hard to get off, I would definately involve a doctor (though not the fuckwit doctor she has now)

  10. Is there some reason they won't give me Zofran for long term?

The 5HT3 antagonists are only approved for nausea/vomiting associated with radiotherapy/cytotoxics. It's mofo expensive and you need a special authority script to get it with repeats/at the PBS price - it's also more of a preventative and doesn't work as well once nausea has set in... hence the reluctance of the prescribing docs

One site (link) listed prochlorperazine (Stemetil) and domperidone (Motilium) as OTC anti-nausea drugs (in Aust.). Anyone know anything about these, their efficacy etc?

For efficacy prochlorperazine = domperidone > metoclopramide, with domperidone having the least side effects (doesn't cross the BBB = rare incidence of CNS side effects). The only one that is OTC in aus is metoclopramide which occurs with paracetamol in some anti-migraine tabs (anagraine, metomax)

I wouldn't rule the dexamethasone out, it is very effective for short term treatment of nausea, especially in your case

How long have you been taking the Gleevec for? If you have just started, the nausea will taper off over the next few weeks. Taking the tabs with food can help with the GI side effects

Hope you start feeling better, heal quick bro

  11. Good poll Ace.

I heard an interview of the 'mom' and dad of the duggar family on the radio, fucking disgusting. What sort of empty life must you lead when you dedicate it to spawning as many degenerate fucks as possible. Bring on a global one child policy, even our own country encourages proliferation via costello and his 'baby bonus' - should be a baby tax forshitssake. "one baby for the husband and wife and one for the country" what a joke, why deal with demographic transition when you can keep on running away from it. asshole.

Although if Australia started putting on russian sex camps I might change my mind
