  1. Aloe vera gel straight from the plant will help soothe her irritation. 1 drop of teatree oil mixed in with it can also help to reduce the infection but it will sting initially for a few seconds. Natural yoghurt is also fantastic to use, eat it and also use it directly on the infected area. It used to be a case of taking an additional "good bacteria" supplement like Inner health plus was only necessary with a super strong dose or long course of antibiotics but I'm hearing more and more need this after a normal short penicillin course.

Id for tub growing Fungi please

Thanks Undergrounder. As yet they have not re-sprouted and the ones I tried to spore print were too dry already. We have another type growing in the lawn atm and I'm trying to get that I.D before hubby mows it. We do seem to get a fair few types.

Thanks Mac. Shame about the ID though. I'll just add they have very thing stalks and dry out quickly on the off chance it'll help me get a name

I saw these growing in a tub containing a young lemon tree last night. Anybody know what they are? Will they hurt the tree at all?

    Urban Fungal Finds

Your pics are beautiful and certainly something to aspire to with my nature photography. Thank you for sharing them. If you want to practice to see how they would look as a coffee-table book I do have a print-on-demand site with various sizes of photo-book available. I don't run a shop from that site but the make-your-own section is available if you want to test it out. I don't know the etiquette here yet for posting links such as this so perhaps drop me a pm if your interested? Oh and don't forget it's easy to make up collages of your pics to bring up the image size.

    Is this tree a native?

Thanks tarenna. I have to agree they do look very close. I've yet to find one with the right leaves and flowers yet but I'll keep looking. As additional info, it's a deciduous tree and it's leaves turn quite a similar to how an acer would in autumn. It doesn't grow berry's (if that's the right term) at all though like the Schinus ones seem to. The ants seem to like it.
  7. Hi Very new here and still have a lot to read up on so as a quick first post I'd like to ask if anybody can identify this tree and tell me if it's native Australian or not? They seem to be suddenly springing up everywhere yet I can't seem to identify it. I've attached 2 pics. One shows the flowers better and one the leaves. I hope someone can help as it's driving me nuts. Thanks
