    Dbotany site?

Anyone know what has gone on with the Dbotany site which seems to be gone or at least is not accessible? Hope it is only technical problems but, I also noticed that the cocamama site has also disappeared.

    Salvia divinorum story

This palatable strain is more than likely referring to the Blosser strain which has been tagged as being the "Palatable" strain. I have grown Hoffman and Wasson strains & Blosser strains and to be honest with you, I can not tell the difference when quidng the leaves. The palatability tag may also have something to do with the soil it grew in and Blosser himself also suggested that this could have been the reason for the lack of bitterness in his Shamanic salad. PS: Salvia is legal in the country I am in, for the time being anyway.

    Kratom seeds

Thanx for the information eNo. That really is some proccess you have there. I can understand the need for it as I lost most of the seedlings which as you say, just keeled over and shriveled up. Still, I really don't have space for 400 plants anyway. I suppose in a sense it is selection of the strongest and perhaps the plants that make it really are the tough guys.

    Kratom seeds

Just thought I would make the concluding post concerning the seed grown kratom. The seed grown Mitragyna Speciosa seedlings that survived seem to be out of the danger of the damping off disease. Thanks for all the information folks.

    Kratom seeds

The seed grown Mitragyna Speciosa are starting to grow quickly since 25C has become the minimum temperature & humidity rises in the rainy season. Veins do seem to be slightly red.

Yes...I think the fertilizer is the deal..Reaches for large bottle of fertilizer, nearly confuses it with Russian Vodka I am currently drinking however they probably both taste the same. :saufen2:

Shiney....Are these plants from Fracts seeds? They are growing at an extreemly fast rate compared to mine.

    Kratom seeds

Here is a quick update at 3 months since germination. They are starting to harden off and leaf growth seems to have speeded up since the temp is more or less 20C day and night.

    Kratom research

God....Don't you just hate the "I" in the English language? Glad I live in a place where it is hardly ever used.

    Kratom seeds

What kind of temp ranges are the seedlings in? If it goes much below 20C this is possibly the reason for slow growth. Since the temp has been 20-24c here I have seen the seedlings grow rather fast.

    Kratom seeds

If you sowed them on top of the soil, they should have germinated by now. I don't think actually burying these seeds is a good idea because they are prone to rotting. Glad reducing the light helped your plants.

    Kratom seeds

Watch misting them and soil mositure. I only have about 4 left out of the first batch due to them sort of burning up at the leaf. Not sure if this is the dreaded damping off or not. The good news is that the four remaining are healthy and getting bigger. Still have about 40 that just germinated. Good luck

    Kratom seeds

About 10 days I think. Although these seeds that just had plastic cover over them so they got light germinated in much less time even though they were older seeds.

    Kratom seeds

Mmm, seems that Mitragyna Speciosa seeds retain their viability a little more than I thought. Five days ago, I sowed the remaining pod of seeds I had which I received in February 3 months ago, I just looked and most of them have germinated. Seeds germinating 3 months on. Seedling at 3 months. Roll on summer.

    coca seeds/plant wanted study only

Yeah, I don't put my SD plants in humidity tents even in winter when ambient humidity is only 10%. I don't even root cuttings in humidity tents anymore as they root just fine without it and once rooted you can plant them straight into the soil in ambient humidity without wilting at all. This is the soil mix I use which is pellet like and has been pre heated heated in a kiln or so it says on the packet. Seems to allow a lot of oxygen to get to the roots and the pics show egg plant and tomato plants grown in ordinary soil compared to this stuff. I really find the root ball is as big as they show in these pics. I also top all my SD cuttings above teh second node shortly after they have been potted and settled in, this makes them bush out and indeed put out stems from the node beneath the soil giving you a nice bush with which you can make many more plants. I mist them maybe once every other day. Soil with vermiculite although I added about 20% perlite to it.

Soil mix advise for Mitragyna Speciosa

Thanks for the info. I will mix up something like that when I repot them.
  22. Just wondering what kind of soil mix is best for Mitragyna Speciosa? I mean percentages of this or that and PH level, not brand name soil mixes which are probably not available where I am on the planet. Is it necessary to use perlite or can one get away without it if the soil drains well? Thanks in advance.
