  1. Hey Micro, sorry, bit confused now... It was a Rosei#2 label according to your auction thread

Is this the same one as your pic above? Anyway, it's an absolute fave and I've not cut it yet as I want to breed with it. I really hope for some blooms this year, I wanna cross it with my 'Halcyon Beast' if possible, I reckon they'd make a good pair.  :)  (Sorry to divert the thread)

  2. That's interesting I saw that happening on a big peruv in Traralgon, Victoria. Couldn't figure out what was happening. Like flowers reverting back to pups. Pretty weird to see. Not really a good thing either but maybe they are freaky in other ways too. :) :)  Hey my Roseii-2 ( sister from the same seedbatch) is going hammer and tong mate. 3 big growing columns. It's an absolute ripper, and well worth what I paid for it. Couple other guys are begging for a cut. Can't wait to cross it with something huge. :)

  3. Facebook sux. Noobs everyehere, claiming to be experts. So much wrong information and people only wanna believe what they want to.  Pure chaos, and no in-depth discussions about anything. The SAB page on FB is OK but not as good as the real thing.

  4.  I've grown them from cuttings a couple times over the years. Awesome species of hoya.  :)

They are tough plants but don't over water them when young. Their soil needs to be free draining and loamy. I'd say African violet mix could be pretty good for them. Actually start with African violet mix and add a couple hand fulls of regular crusher dust, and a couple handfulls of coconut coir chunks and you'll have a ripper hoya Australis mix.

    **UPDATE**

The seeds that were exposed to freezing temperatures seem to be germinating just fine.

Great news! Thanks for the update!. I might start storing seeds along with my pollen in the freezer. I put pollen in multiple layers of snappy bags and then a small plastic jar, then a larger (peanut butter)jar, then a Tupperware container. Not sure why. Just to protect from any extreme temperature fluctuations.

Love picking up hints and tips from the Corroboree, thanks again mate! :)

  6. Oh yeah, Gotta have fresh seeds. They have a half-life of about about 12 months, so every year you wait, like half of them will become un-viable. Some people buying seeds from the UK wonder why their seeds didn't sprout,. Well how long they been sitting in the UK for? A decade? LOL Nobody knows...

i dont know how to make the video screen thing..

Just do a copy paste of the YouTube address (in the address bar)

Once you paste it, it will automatically turn into a picture, before you even "Submit" the reply.

If it doesn't do this automatically then you prolly have to clear your history or  re-install chrome etc. IDK you'll have to mess around a bit to see if you can update your browser or something.

  8. If you get the Takeaway tek right it's "set and forget".

Most issues faced involve the amount of water added, and where the unit is placed. My first batch worked, Next batch failed, Then I fried my seedlings in the hot sun. There's a lot that can go wrong. LOL
