where can i get mason jars in perth

thrift shops are good for sourcing these kinda things the salvos etc if your having real trouble finding shiney new ones once they have been sterilised they would be fine!....one can be surprised wat they can find in second hand junk shop, i have built all kinds of nice useful contraptions from other ppls junk, and the best blender i ever got came from the salvos, its a champ, i destroyed so many nice shiney silver expensive ones & the $5 throw away plastic that i got @ the op shop just keeps blending away its indestructable, gotta love old school quality @ times! http://aussimushroomsupplies.com/grow-jars.htm

    Slug and snail repellant plants

im just glad im not amazonians neighbour, otherwise she(correction LOL) would be sneaking snail stashes into my yard...LOL! and i have hatred for all pests, unfortunately there is no real way to really humanely way of killing anything death is death, its just whatever method is preferred for us, so we can live guilt free and feel better about it! I do like the idea of the ducks or chooks devouring the slimey little home carrying nuisances, the food chain is a great natural way to eradicate any pests...perhaps market them as edibles and post em to pierre land where they are considered a delicacy "escargot de Bourgogne" one may very well be sitting on a goldmine if there breeding like mice, some clever marketing aussie made and manufactured, sweet packaging and watch the bank balance grow!

    Viable Coffeea arabica seeds wanted

I dont know to much about them, the seeds i got just look like coffee beans id brew for a cuppa but im guessing these havnt been roasted or treated as there what i purchased as seeds to grow..LOL.. I never tried to grow them as i had a small plant growing but it died from perhaps a mixture of cold weather and crappy claylike compact soil i used, the stem is still there, so who knows it may come back in spring with new leaves,im not sure never really researched this plant, i know it grows great on the tablelands in cairns, this where the commercial coffee growers are and my climate is a very distant difference from tropical...anyway i sent you a PM sola, you can have the seeds for free as there just sitting in a baggy in my cubboard doing nothing, would always rather see someone put them to use!

    Mold attack!!

or can spray some of this stuff on them its plant friendly and kills these kinds of mould on contact, a friendly nifty natural product, every home should have a bottle on hand! http://www.hollandforge.com.au/contents/en-us/d237_citroshield.html most cuts get this kinda mould as long as it doesnt go internal or turn into a more nasty black rot a cacti cut is usually ok with this kinda surface mould..i would citrashield them! Also even vinegar will get rid of it,vinegar is a blessing for these kinda pathogens!

Looking for P. Cubensis print (for microscopy)

So good to see ppl not out to rip someone off whos willing to pay $50 for a print to put under a microscope, the free offers, shows the aussie spirit, and this is an important reminder to all of us, ethno's not always about the cash and sadly sometimes ppl forget this and want to capitalise and we should be reminded from time 2 time its about keeping nature free and sharing the love....we only have to look @ the de-forestation industry that greed over rides nature and my belief is these plants are meant to be free how nature intended them to grow without the jinka of $ signs!.The beauty of karma is it doesnt grow on $ signs but on our good deeds!

    Fungus Gnats, bastards!

yeah the azamax is expensive around $120 for a litre but its very concentrated , and your better off buying bulk like a litre, bunnings sells eco neem which is the same product but it only comes in 100ml bottles and will cost you as much as a litre probably,PM me if you want details where to get it near you, i got head office distributor number here that can put you in touch with a local source for azamax, i had alot of trouble finding this product, without some serious googling...LOL Cheers!

    Vermiculite and Asbestos

Even soil is bad to inhale, microbes can get into yr lungs, its all bad so it would it seem, all the stuff they want us to inhale that can cause carcinogens or premature lung bronchitis & pneumoconiosis is legal, tobacco, vermiculite & rockwool, fibreglass, cement & plaster dust, paint fumes, carbon monoxide, silica, cotton, wood dust etc. the list is longer than the rialto tower and one would have to catch a taxi to get thru it, but the good old beneficial cannabis that has never had one recorded death remains illegal and the majority find it quite pleasant to inhale!

    Fungus Gnats, bastards!

yeah me to gogo im in a cold enviroment, these flys drive me nuts, ive tried everything and the best natural thing ive found is DE but the adults walk thru it now worrys, and its meant to be like razors for insects, but i have found it does kill the larvae and dont seem to breed as much in a DE mix, and the gnat traps stick em everywhere the more the merrier..i tried so many natural things and in the end i went nuclear with the oxy which is good for the roots system anyway..... i lost a lot of loph seeds this year to scarids and since i started with the oxy they have vanished another good one that kills em is dutchmaster zone, this can be used in all soil enviroments also... im yet to try this product which is made from neem and sounds promising http://www.generalhydroponics.com/genhydro_US/azamax.html you can buy it in oz but will have to shop around!

    Fungus Gnats, bastards!

yeah ive found nematodes like Steinernema feltiae and bacteria like Bacillus thuringiensis to be to slow and not always successful, ive found nuking the soil with a hydrogen peroxide (i use 0xy plus by growth technology http://www.growthtechnology.com.au/ssl60/0/ oxy-plus kills em much quicker and takes away all soil nastys and diatomaceous earth mixed thru the earth works to keep them away as it drys there larvae, although after an oxy treatment one has to add a garden compost or beneficial microbes back into the soil enviroment again and for this i recommend vitalink bioplus http://www.vitalink.eu/en/_range/_additives/vitalink_bioplus.htm These little buggers also build up a resistence to pyretheum and any other insecticides, i swear they are worse then cockroaches and politicians & one day rule the world just like pinky & the brain, every mouse wants to rule the world!

    Anti-inflammatory herbs

comfrey is meant to be good for bumps, strains and bruises apply the herb to the place of grief i would not suggest any internal or oral consumption without study.. i have similiar reactions to nurofen etc, it races my heart, i live in pain daily from multiple gunshot wounds and i found voltaren works wonders, maybe this good substitute for the nurofen.. Also here a list of anti inflammatory herbs i found on google from some Dr site:- Turmeric (Curcuma longa): Turmeric accounts for the yellow color of curry and American mustard and has a distinctive sharp flavor. I recommend turmeric for all inflammatory disorders, including arthritis, tendonitis, and auto immune conditions. Take 400 to 600 milligrams of turmeric extracts (available in tablets or capsules) three times per day or as directed on the product label. Whole turmeric is more effective than isolated curcumin, its major constituent. Look for products standardized for 95% curcuminoids. Be patient: the full benefit takes two months to develop. Don't use turmeric if you have gallstones or bile duct dysfunction. Pregnant women shouldn't use it without their doctors' approval. In rare cases, extended use can cause stomach upset or heartburn. Ginger: Powdered dry ginger is an excellent anti-inflammatory. Take one to two capsules (500 to 1,000 mg) twice a day with food. As with turmeric, you won't get the full effect for two months. Boswellin: This is the extract of the herb Boswellia, used in Ayurvedic medicine and available in capsule form. It may be useful for generalized inflammatory conditions such as fibromyalgia. The dosage is two capsules twice a day unless the product label directs differently.

    Interesting find!

Thought i would post a follow up 2 this....the staff has safely arrived with an exceptional 7 days of delivery and absolutely no quarantine or customs hassles, its package did have a sticker stating united states custom declaration that the sender, must of had to sign and i think this may have given a full green light approval to its new oz destination. One dissapointing note:- the staff is shorter in length then appears in photo(pictures can be deceiving) and is a good arms length which i guess it states in the ebay sale(a dagger) as it is a good daggers length(short sword size)...still one happy ebay customer & many thanks to AQIS for swift delivery & no excessive treatment charges or hassles. Would highly recommend if others have an interest in collecting curios of the various kind! This purchase would in particular make a nice mantle piece setting if i had an open fire and mantle piece to smoke a pipe by the cold nights, unfortunately i dont smoke a pipe as i dont have a PBOY mansion & am sadly not surrounded by silicon breasts in hot pants like happy HEF and do not have an exotic handcarved mantle with an open fire, oh well, i am very thankful to have a beautiful wife who loves me for being broke ass poor & grumpy and am most thankful for modern day AGL gas heating and my deceased grandmothers antique glass cabinet which will have to suffice for its new home, alongside a small collection of whales & sharks teeth & rocks & crystals i have collected from my various travelling years! Would of been exceptionally nice to have sourced such an artifact from personal travels myself, but unfortunately i have never had the chance to travel to peru and is on my things to do list, its a big beautiful world, so ppls get out there see the wonders and bring back those strange little odditys that capture your eyes and warm yr heart when your old and grey decrippled & pretty much F'd with life you will have these little reminders of such magnificent memorys that just may bring a smile and remind you of such a beautiful place you once travelled to and what a marvelous world we live in! Miracles everywhere! Cheers!

    Normal plants (mostly)

Nurserys are F expensive..they rip ya on everything...i would need the blessings of those 1st place tattersall digits to put all my cacti in ceramic pots, if I purchased ceramic pots from a nursery, and what they sell a bag of soil for(as stingray steve would say CRIKEY!), i can get a trailer load of soil, sand and gravel for the same price, from a landscape wholesaler which is bout $15 for a 4x4! And as for the $ of insectides that come in a P small bottle, with a flash A fancy spray gun nozzle & some sweet BS marketing label promising to kill every bug on earth, i can purchase a 5kg bag of Diatomaceous earth & 10 crazy clark spray bottles and have a 6 month supply of natural insecticide.... Perhaps i should of posted this in the bitches & gripes forum...

    Whats in a name?

I browsed the forum for quite sometime before i joined and im a very reclusive person, which means i was slow to find and join this forum like a snail(slow) and being reclusive it takes alot to get me out of my shell, so when i registered my mind was blank for a user name, luckily enough i have fishtanks full of mystery snails(applesnails)as i breed tropical fish for a hobbie, so being surrounded by my tanks full of fish & snails, helped me overcome my mental block of choosing a username. I think now john does alias, would of been more appropriate, for the purpose of anonymity.. Anonymity:- 1. The quality or state of being unknown or unacknowledged. 2. One that is unknown or unacknowledged.
