Cool. One last weekend of bingeing, then I'll start making my own food (to make sure it isn't processed). I did it for a few weeks, but it isn't easy! Anyhoos, does this mean I can't visit my friend Mary? Or is she alright...

Fuck the government. If anyone lives in the area, you have to write to your local politician. You pay for them to be in office. WRITE TO THEM! CALL THEM! If it comes down to it, I have no issues with carrying 10-20L of water in a backpack from my house and stealth watering the garden. Most of us are sitting here with a few species each that are fairly rare in the wild, mostly lophs or similar. Why the prejiduce against native plants? Just 'cos they aren't psychoactive? No prejiduce you say? Then get the hell out there and do something about this. If you're too cheap to mail your volunteer form in, email it to me. I'll pay for your stamp. There's no excuse...plants have given us all so much, time to give something back.

Mirrors are NOT good for plants! Not like humans dude...mirrors cause burn spots on plants. If you want reflection, use some nice thick white FLAT posterboard, you can get it from the news agents for like $2. Never use mirrors on plants! Or aluminum foil...

strangebrew, my one has small pink flowers! But they flowered just recently, not in winter.

I have pretty much the exact same specimen not 2 metres for me callousing, waiting for a pot. When I asked, people here told me it was a Cereus Peruvianus. I'm inclined to believe them

At the very least A, lophs could provide dying people a bit of perspective if they have trouble dealing with it.

Yeah I'm filling out the volunteer form anyway, just because I may be able to help with something IT related, I dunno, just wanna help.

For any of the people who want to see: http://www.rbgsyd.nsw.gov.au/mount_annan_b..._botanic_garden More importantly, volunteer information: http://www.communitybuilders.nsw.gov.au/bu...genciesvol.html Go down to the bit about Royal Botanic Gardens. I would love to volunteer, but 131500.info tells me it'd take quite some time to get there from where I live...so I may settle for donating chunks of my paycheck. Most interestingly from the link on that above link: quote: Growing Friends - Propagate seeds and cuttings from plants in the three Gardens (with permission and horticultural advice from Botanic Gardens Trust staff). Growing Friends hold weekly plant sales to raise funds. Do what you can guys. This is a good chance for the ethnobotanical community to show how much we love our plant spirit friends. This isn't a request, I am commanding you.

Cactus ferts and half shade half full sun. Don't overdo it on the ferts.

Your avatar is amazingly mesmerising CS. Do some drugs for me! (I'm not cool enough to live in BB)

There's been a lot of this recently, all basically fuelled by the Da Vinci code. People who are interested in religion in general have been aware of a lot of the lesser known symbolics, etc for a long time now. Think I'll watch it anyway when I get home from work.

I would love to see someone pouring a large bucket of super phosphate onto John Howard. -

I've heard the album. It's fucking cool. Very much like Fear the Hands and a bit more "acid rock" than Rated R. All in all, very fucking good album.
-
Damn that's freaky cool. I saw them at hamiltons cactus world too, never saw such a thing before! Well done on getting it that big :D

Wish I had a dog If anyone has a cutting, or dog seeds, pm me! Seriously though, I want a dog -
I'm going to be an arsehole about it and reply. Here's the deal. When you incriminate yourself doing illegal things, like processing and consuming Argyreia Nervosa seeds, it's not only you that attract the attention of law enforcement officers. The whole forum does, and we like this forum. So don't do it ok? We don't mind hearing about dreams you had where you took some HBWR seeds, or if you tell us what your naughty naughty gnome does, but nobody here wants to hear about the illegal things you do.

smogs it isn't like the sulphur binds to the seeds, I'm sure a criminally minded person could easily wash the dust off

quote: House Bill 20 targets 40 different hallucinogenic plants, making it illegal to produce, possess or distribute anything containing them for human consumption. I thought produce means no grow? I could be wrong. Prove me wrong! :D EDIT: Also, the article states that angels trumpet causes urine retention...I thought it was a diuretic? [ 09. Did you stick them into the jar straight after picking? I believe you should air dry the outsides or similar before storing! Also, try and make the container airtight as possible. Use the smallest container you can, only use a bigger one when you need it. Extra oxygen in the container means extra moisture!

Hehe good luck outlawing a plant that companies have been selling as a landscaping plant for decades. (re Trichs) -
Tomer, a lot of people don't even think thujone can do much to you, but yeah, if the thujone acts as a euphoriant in you, then S. officinalis isn't a bad idea. I'd say give it a go, then post here with results!
