    psilocybe australiana

hello. i was wondering, if in nsw and vic if psilocybe australiana are difficult/uncommon to encounter/cultivate? i thought they would be easier to find seeming as they grow on bark.. i am curious if anybody has ever come across them in their habitable climate(s) before. thanks.
  2. Of course, drawing under the influence of any substance is fun but I always find it so so so relaxing to drink draw. What do you guys think? I've never really heard they enjoy drinking whilst drawings... I think its very enjoyable.

    Psychadelic music recs?

Hey was wondering if anybody knows some good psytrance or hey, even general psychadelic music artists out there in the world from recent times that they would like to recommend me? It seems all the greats were around in the 90s and that was the prime of the day, but I DO know there are good artists out there, so it would help if you could recommend some here that'd be helpful Psychedelic* Just realised I spelt that wrong, I always do that.

    Adventures of Mark Twain

This is from the 1986 clay mation film Adventures of Mark Twain. It's pretty cool; yet scary. You really had to appreciate the 1980's for its take on the creepiest child audience film and television, I wish we could have stuff like this to scare the piss out of children these days. I remember when I was young I was OBSESSED with Return to Oz, later in life I discovered it flopped at the box office because it was too dark and macabre for children to watch. Ha! PS. this was not banned from TV as it is a movie...

    Adventures of Mark Twain

I think it is, but only because of the guys scary morphing face and his voice/tone... and the atmosphere of the scene; audio and sound being used. I downloaded the movie recently so I'm interested as to what the rest of the movie holds...
  12. Ever since Feb 2010 I have been working on many different series of comics that I hand drawn, the context of this particular series is very different to my others (most comic series orbit around psychedelia, friends, surrealism etc) but this is just a pinch of black humour; plus, it is far easier to draw than the other series. I would like to know what you people here think; even though I have a fair idea

Pics of some Fungi at Uni

Your pictures or not they are still great photographs! If Queensland will ever recover from the floods and let fungi birth the lands of this state once again I am hopeful in getting my new 16.1 megapixel camera to snatch up some great pictures... Ah threads like this are so inspiring.
  15. Ah thanks, okay sure. Umm perhaps I'll put up something I finished yesterday... only one slide... not a complete strip...

    The Salvia Situation...

Why is Australia so nuts about it though? What are they hiding? What are they preventing? Were there epidemics of Salvia related deaths at some point thus leading it to its extreme illegality? To say Salvia is even more controlled than Methamphetamine or Heroin is pure insanity.. but it isn't because it really is more controlled than those two substances; but why!? What is it about Salvia divonorum in particular that makes the Australian officials get so psycho about it?? This is confusing.

Is anyone going to S.E. QLD Royal Doof???

Haha if you're keen I don't see why not. A mate of mine has jumped on board since I posted this topic but let me know! The more the merrier. ... We do intend on getting quite messy though so as I said to someone else I don't know what you are willing to make of that... hehe. Anyway, I have three spare seats so let me know!
  19. Hm, I feel as though I need to share this. I'm a personal carer for elderly people; pretty sick people in their houses living on their own; I give them showers and medications and help them with basic jobs around the house and I sometimes go to their house for 8 hours for a whole day looking after them making sure nothing bad happens, and yeah, I really love this job; I get along with elderly people well because I sure can't stand most people my own age (19); I used to go to a guy that I called Douggie Doug-Man all the time, and he was one of my favourites; the more dementia ridden the patient the more I like them... I just get along with them more... recently I noticed I haven't been getting his work dished to me, which I thought was curious - today I found out he passed away a while ago... which is really upsetting but he was ready at least as he always said to me "I'm ready to go! I just want to sleep and never wake up." and I remember saying to him "when you pass on I'm going to miss you...". Hm. He had big-time dementia and used to tell me of all his world travels (name a country and he'd been there) and end most sentences with "WE HAD A GOOD LIFE! IT WAS A GOOD WAR!" and when I got him breakfast he would shout the names of the food and drink I'd get him; "OATS!" and "COFFEE! SYRUP OF THE GODS!" Hm, I'm new to this job and he is the first patient I have had that I got close to and has passed away. Just thought I'd share this, I don't usually talk about work to my friends... I don't usually tell anyone to anything in the real world... I should have made the topic ***I found out one of my patients died today***

I found out one of my patients died today

Nice response. Funny about the fortune part! That stuff happens a lot but legality issues come into it D: Hm yeah I find this job rewarding; sometimes no but most of the time. I don't see anything gross about it though - it's worse working in a nursing home - glad I didn't stick around there too long!!
  21. Thank you! Hm, and AHis the cruder style.. oh shucks all you are just peachy people
  22. What do you mean? Do you mean the comics or what I am saying...?
  23. Thanks Quill. What people say/type/read when they form criticism is all just words. Words are just words; meaningless. But... it depends on how you perceive and construct these words as to how you define your personal perspective' everything is seen in various perspectives in my world which is why everything is so confusing to me and why I struggle so very hard to deal with people and the things they do and say... on the same topic, I knew most people wouldn't like them and I choose negative criticism over positive ANY DAY. "This is really good! Keep up!" which hey is still good, I really appreciate you and others saying you like my drawings because I struggle to believe they're that good, but what is even better is if someone has something negative and constructive to say about something they don't like and why; it opens doors for IMPROVEMENT but as I said, everything to me is seen in multiple perspective so sometimes improvement can go the wrong way. I have a friend who constantly disgree's with me on everything she has no reason as to why, this irks me; how can you have an opinion but not evaluate the piss out of it? "I don't like it" "Why?" "I just don't." EH! It depends if they're comics or not based on the story I write; I have a series called Mara's Garden which is a story I have written with beginning, middle and end and follows precise characters and situations that eventually close the story but it's fantasy and very very hard and long to draw so one day, I'm sure, I'll get really into it.. Adam is plotless, remember, but it does have episodes where he gets into trouble with his chaotic news reporter/demon friends, its a broad and scattered series so it can go on forever or end quickly; one comic I did of Adam is him piquing on his trip, and he brushes away a mosquito, then turns melts into it and buzzes this multicoloured rainbow all over the room, then buzzes by himself saying the same thing he did 5 seconds ago and replies to what he previously said (ew! A mosquito!) with "gee...can I really be that much of a grouch...?" and that's it.... Cut Corners is somewhat the same, though it deals with things that happen between the emotions of characters and are dragged out over a period of comics between comics. So yes, most of them appear in a rather long format which is why they take a tediously long time to finish because I write the comic, then it takes a long long long time to complete it and I often get bored with the characters dwelling on the same topic. I know Mara's Garden will become what you say as graphic novels.. just not about superheroes.
