Chilli Con Carne i've searched the internet high and low for the recipe from the local uni, my partner brought home on a daily basis and is now a compulsory dish in our home, anyway here goes:700grams premium mince or 1/2 1/2 lamb mince and premium beef i prefer the mix. 3 cloves garlic 2 medium onions or 1 large 1-2 cans whole or chopped tomato 1-2 cans red kidney bean or mixed if you like beef stock/vegetable stock smoked paprika 3 tsp cardamom 1/4 tsp or to taste (you can add this whilest cooking) coriander 2tsp bay leaves 2-3 cumin 1 tsp black pepper & salt hot chili powder 1-2 tsp ghee (clarified butter) just trust me really its all about adding spices to a jar until you fall of your feet drooling then add pinches at a time until desired taste has been reached it took me a couple of times to get it down just right, the method is pretty simple brown mince well add garlic and onion, then tomatoes,butter,salt,pepper once simmered for a couple of mins start adding spice until mince has been covered well with spices simmer for further 2 mins on low then add stock until JUST below surface, add bay leaves and half the kidney beans (and juice) splash of Worcestershire sauce then let simmer on low for 1 hour checking every 20 mins adding stock if nes,add the rest of the beans in the last 20 mins then add a tsp or two of cornstarch or flour/water mix to thicken, serve with double cheese nacho Doritos and sour cream topped with tasty cheese

yes ghee is just nutter, with the whey? removed, you can make it simply yourself... 2-3 blocks of butter heat on lowest setting until melted try not to stir too much, then strain or pour off slowly, i've been making it for years.

well i did try the guilt trip, it was an anniversary present/present for the kids because their cat just recently vanished (the main reason i went ahead and got him) but my in laws own the house, and were already paying lower rent, but i do thankyou all for your ideas, we already had a dog and they gave us the altermatum to keep one or the other, i just cant bring myself to push the other one to the side it wouldn't be right, so i just had to bite the bullet and sell the little tike. ps, i added a pic.

omg!! you have to try this for him use ghee on the outside and tasty cheese on the inside he'll love it ghee makes all the difference and it's so much better for you smells much richer, burns hotter and more evenly, its a godsend, i'll never use a machine again :d grill all the way!
