Idealy you need both the MH and the HPS light at the same time. I used to grow Romanesco broccoli because I enjoyed it's psychedelic patterns and subsequent nutrition. I grew one about the size of a mans head. Get a ballast that can take both bulbs.

I have 4 over 4ft Viridis trees that are doing well (I've had them for 2 or so years). They're currently growing in a shadecloth greenhouse that gets direct sun from 10am to about 4pm and they get watered once every 2 days. They're really healthy but the majority of the leaves have brown tips? It has recently come to my attention that this may be because they're getting too much sun? Is this so? Thanks. I live in a subtropical zone with 7 degree winters.

I have a Catha that's about the same age that'd be getting close to 6ft. It loves life, big, bright green, glossy leaves. I'd love my P. Viridis to have those picture perfect leaves like their cousin.

I give them a drink with seaweed fertilizer once every 2 weeks. Brown tips have always been there.

I'd do it. The bible is full of violence and vengence, it's the way god made us!

I had a rasberry vine for ages in a pot and it always looked brown and sickly, so when it died to ground level, I burried the roots in my garden and watered and fertilized the crap out of it. And now it's big healthy and often has copious amounts of rasberries on it. Never knew why until now, thanks planthelper!

Are there different variations of it? I have 3 waist hight plants, 2 of them have normal sized leaves, and the other one has leaves about 4 times as as big as the other 2. Anyone else get this?

We've got some pretty badass spiders at my place. There's a golden orb spider that's been in my front yard for AGES, she's about the size of a small excavator and pumps out kids like it's going out of fashion.

I want to fill a bathtub up with them and bathe in them.
