  1. Try ERADICATOR its a root zone drench that has limonene or something in it along with the active to to help break down the waxy/powdery layer the little bastards use for defense.

any more infos on this? a cursory googol search delivers naught

  2. mealy bugs i've found on the outside i've just squished off with my fingers, regular maintenance they won't get out of hand,

recently just found some root mealies, and did the hot water thing* with some plants, and am to try a drench of some sort once i get to bunnings on the weekend,

if you search the forums there's a few different methods, i remember EG mentioning metho or some sort of alcohol?

*although i just ran them in a dish under the hot water tap it's probably quite a bit warmer than 50ºC lol, probably just destroyed their roots oops

  3. heres a cool little salad

5 ounces dried radish strips, about 3½ cups

    1 teaspoon vegetable oil

    3 garlic cloves, minced

    2 green onions, chopped

    2 tablespoons soy sauce

    3 tablespoons hot pepper flakes*

    3 tablespoons rice syrup**

    2 teaspoons sesame seeds

soak radish in bowl /c hot water, 10 min

strain and sauté radish, 3-4 min

mix rest of the ingredients in a bowl

    add radish, mix thoroughly

    enjoy!! B)

*a note about the pepper flakes, this is a korean recipe and they have a certain way of doing chilli flakes, not quite powder but much coarser than "normal" chilli flakes (like you'd buy in coles), plus no seeds. look for that in your asian grocer when you're getting your radish strips

Time. Why do we feel we're falling through it when we're not?

It's a great liberating concept, even if it doesn't happen.

Craig Callender is Professor of Philosophy at the University of California, San Diego. In this talk, he trawls through the model that he describes as Manifest Time.

We'll leave Callender to explain it; though he detours down a lot of byways and rabbit holes as he does so.

With manifest time, the present is special, the past fixed, the future wide open and everything 'flows' forward. But according to Callender, and physics, this model is fundamentally wrong!

  5. aka legal weed laws

On behalf of the undersigned national law enforcement organizations, we write to express our extreme disappointment that the U.S. Department of Justice does not intend to challenge policies in Colorado or Washington that legalize the sale and recreational use of marijuana in contravention of Federal law. Further, the Department reiterated its intent to enforce the Federal Controlled Substances Act (CSA) in eight priority areas, however, these will be extremely difficult for Federal, state, local and tribal law enforcement agencies to enforce in practice given the recently approved referendums. As law enforcement officials, we are charged with enforcing the law and keeping our neighborhoods and communities safe—a task that becomes infinitely harder for our front-line men and women given the Department’s position.

  6. I'm not sure if it matters

i think it does matter. the iraq war fiasco mattered in that the credibility of the US and it's hegemony were damaged, severely. after each new false flag attack the credibility of the US and it's allies are drawn into question, at least in the eyes of other sovereign nations but more so in terms of it's own population. there's only 9% of american citizens actually support syrian action by the US. I mean, there's only so much dissatisfaction the US government can handle before there's mass revolt. and if i keeps acting unilaterally like this, all the while imposing it's despotism on the american people, there's not a lot of avenues it can take other than full scale imperialism. especially with their economy the way it is, if they keep funnelling money into the war machine rather than taking their economy out of recession, there's going to be at the very least social unrest, at worst mass revolt.

governments can only control their people as long as the people have a means to survive
