    Hi there

i got diagnosed as having schizophrenia once, the doctor ill-prescribed some meds which had a serious adverse reaction, and i developed an instant distrust of western doctors. i spent a few years dealing with psychosis, paranoia, hallucinations etc. but then i moved across the other side of town and and everything dies down a little. still had delusions and hearing voice through walls plotting against me, but no telepathy, spirit manifestation etc. now about five years on everythings died down to quite an acceptable level. so why write this? it seems ones environment may more of an affect on your psyche than you may give it credit for. before you get locked into a virtually never-ending cycle of western pharmaceutical dependance i'd suggest getting to a place where you feel much more relaxed and happy. also i started getting deeply into zen thought (chinese and japanese) which helped with the paranoia, but that was more personal awareness stuff which may not apply to you. however by all means if you feel absolutely unable to or you feel you may be a danger to yourself or others then seek some help. one thing you don't want to is harm someone as a result of delusional thought because that can't be reversed. of course YMMV, i spent a good few years being fucked up before i finally became normal again.
  3. oh and is there any possibility to post the comments from that facebook page? i'm not a member and don't intend on becoming one, but i'm still curious to see what is being said
  4. so, the greens still hold the balance of power in the senate right? so, hopefully the bill wont go through unamended, is there any way to who did what in the process of having the bill go to parliament? (i.e. who voted unopposed, who suggests amendments etc)

  6. believe me i thought for more than a moment before joining this. but thats not grooming. i like to watch kids play, i think they have a fantastic and beautiful view of the world, it's unadulterated and everything seems so new to them. it really does get to me when someone will label me some sort of monster because i should happen to be in the same vicinity as their children. i think society has amped up this threat so that anyone who doesn't turn their head at a child is automatically some sort of sexual predator. should i run away whenever a child comes within 10 feet of me? seriously, you need to distinguish between a real threat and someone passing on the street. open your eyes man.
  7. yep, supporting the artist, and a lot of musicians i know are also visual artists, it seems the artistic impetus extends beyond one medium, if a "musician" is only peddling music and nothing else, demanding monetary compensation in the process, they're not a real artist, and can go jolly roger their starboard bow, if you know what i mean.
  8. i get what you're saying. i've never really been into buying cd's, i was always a vinyl person myself, but since my mid teens i've been engrossed in the experimental/industrial/electronic music scene, many of the releases (i.e. physical releases cd's or vinyl or cassette) come with hand made covers, or even hand crafted objects etc. it reminds me of a story i heard once about the band coil, one release came with a vial of coil's "breath" (which was obviously just an empty vial of air) but it asks the question, which is more important, the object or the music? these days for me it's definitely the music, as i've gotten into the digital real and purchasing downloads, but still, i think if people are going to offer their music in a physical form (cd/vinyk etc) the they most definitely have to give the consumer an incentive to purchase the object as opposed to waiting a week and grabbing it off of torrent or whatever. this is definitley something the major labels (i.e. riaa) never picked up on, only begrudgingly allowing downloads of *cough* fucking DRM *cough* music through itunes or whatever, good riddance to the cunts, i feel the same way about popular music as i do about hollywood, overhyped, overpaid nothings that most everyone can do without.
