^LMAO at you ladies...a brilliant idea right there, Now i can get a few extra weeks of watering before winter, then i can just 'snap' dry them all with a 1000 "maximum absorption", "dehydrating sticks" on the first real cold night!
Nice collection of lophs by the way Bog....my little seedlings from seed u sent me are coming along nicely now. Best germ rate of L.W's ive ever had...10/11 :D

Most certainly is ErraneousHerbalist. Very well spotted. I plant out all the stuff I buy from Wandjina, and reuse the pots for cacti grafts or chilli seedlings.

Some very nice specimens there!

They dont need to be pricked out at this stage yet. Melocactus are slower growing than columnar cacti like Trichocereus(Echinopsis in Europe). When they are larger, ill prick them out into the same pots, but evenly aligned with only 9-15 in each, to make the next upsizing easier. Approximatly half of all my seedlings get grafted. (to pereskopsis atm)

They were under light decks(15w 10k Kelvin)(only advanced seedlings get overwintered with the big 5 x 48watt 5000k CFL deck). up until 2 months ago, and they went into the greenhouse in their humidity chambers where they get vented every now and again. Greenhouse is covered in shade too, so is nice and hot (gets to 35+ already every day)(varies from 27 at the bottom to 40+ on top shelf) nice diffuse light. All my cacti are pretty much in there atm.

Stunning. Huge amount of flowers there. Is it in the ground? Is it a "hot pink"?

I beleive in order for the female mantis to become aroused she must first rip off, or at least bite (causing death anyway) the male mantis's head off, explaining why you found 3 dead males......glad im not a mantis....

Loving the 'Hartman' greenhouse. They're a dam good unit if i say so myself. Be careful with blackspot on the tricho's if you live in a hot area. Plenty of venting to keep the humidity down and you'll be fine. Looking good
