Howdy Looking into an alternative to using betadine ( it's wet), or a commercial dry antiseptic powder. I figure tea tree as a powder has the properties I'm after. Dune buggies are painful when they hit those road side crash barriers at 60 odd clicks an hr! & the local hospital took too long to get some stitches.... After 3 hrs of waiting I brought some rum ( for pain relief) & cleaned it myself & just trying to dry the wound.... It's closing up & I can't see my shin bones anymore but wanting a dry antiseptic powder.... Could be a handy powder for those kinda wounds.... Any one tried it?

Thanks for the replies.. Can stand up & walk again after using some of the advice from you guys.... I like the idea of piss Ethereal but my piss would ve put me back into that hole that originally allowed me to make the decision that it was a good idea to go on a ride on a death machine! & as far as superglue putting a whole tube on it didnt sound like fun !! ;) I went with some steri strips, & a compress of Bottlebrush & Tea tree powder bark & a couple of other herbs with internal High doses of Vit C - so much so you almost Shite yourself! At least Im cleansed inside now too ;) Cant forget the Manuka honey to cover it while it seeps....That stuff is gold! The swelling has gone down, its dried out & it doesnt take me 5 minutes to get up from the couch. Hypericum oil on my whip lashed muscles has also worked a treat! Now to find something to help the lacerated muscle fibres to heal together. They look pretty cool in an open wound! So thanks for the replies! Moral of the story is: Dont expect less than a 6 hr wait at an emergency department... sure people are dying, but some only need to be told they need a poo. Dont get on a death machine dune buggy with your neighbour who hasnt slept & only brought it that morning to find out the the brakes dont work & the accelerator jams! & dont hit crash barriers at 60 odd km an hr. They buckle but the energy has to go elswhere. Seeing your life flash before your eyes is an odd experience!

I'm not that silly Anodyne....but sure what I wrote sounded like I wanted to put sawdust in my wounds...removing the paint & dirt with tweezers & irrigating was enough fun ! .;) ended up making a compress with sterilized tea tree bark powder & a couple of other herbs/ diluted oils & used that over the wound as a fairly dry compress . Wrapped it for a bit... & will see what happens....but it looks & feels a lot better. Next stage is a different herb/ oil combo compress to promote the next stage.... Any suggestions on what native plants might work?

Nah , not the foot powder Anodyne, thanks for the reply. but just straight up tea tree as a powder avail from new horizons or somewhere. But I can't find much on its use...I think it could make something handy... I'm going to work on that though...You right with the poisoning factor...& I used a few wound closure strips. Keeping it open to aid in drying it out. I don't mind scars Glaukus!! ;)

& before any one has a go I've got a reasonable amount of experience & understanding on medical stuff.....so I'm happy to make this assessment.... just learnt the bruising kinda whip lash can't walk properly way about my drunk Neighbours driving skills in his death trap machine;)

Seems like I'm working that sat & Sunday if it's the first weekend of May! but could make the Sunday night to help pick up all the nangs.... Not that anyone will be coherent by then;) but at least I'll get a stash to myself & won't have to share!!!!

the main one ive researched (but not tried to catch fish with ) is Duboisia myoporides. That expression "like stunned Mullet" prob comes from putting it into fish habitats !!!! they would prob be floating awkwardly upside down with big pupils!! We have stacks of carp in the water ways around here. also some mother fucking huge eels! But they aint good eating but would be nice to remove them. Eels aint bad though... Gotta do something with soaking them in milk (carp, that is) to make them edible from memory.... prob much better as fertiliser though!! Its the massive trout I want to catch!! ;) But would this tek be akin to tickling them? Again thats illegal.....but they are so big & im shite at fishing..... Thanks gtarman & prioritise - its the larval mozzie stage im interested in removing. Ill give it a go & get back to ya.... I'm wondering how much plant per m cubed of water. Are we talking Kilos? Ill try it in my fish tank one day if i get bored by my fish ;) Would those plants work on mozzies & removing them from a water storage container/bathtubs?? I still want the oxygen exchange thing to happen for the plants in them.

Its seed savers handbook by Michel & Jude Fanton .A classic book that got me into this whole growing mess years ago ;) Its a great book for anyone interested in saving vege seeds & heirloom vege seeds! or seeds in general! Its free! but to cover my postage to you a few vege/ herb seeds wouldn't go astray!!

I'm starting a food forest on my land & looking for seeds, cuttings & plants. Sub tropichish but kinda dry! Till I work out the water! I've got a couple of acres to plant out! Can trade or pay! I've got slants, prints, cacti & other plants if you can help out?? Any permaculture, native foods or something for a food forest ?? Also whatever other ethnos people are happy to trade or sell!! If you need some space an hour from Sydney CBd to grow legal stuff pm me ! You keep it - I'll just give you the space to do it!!

I know its about viridis, (theres 2 in the pic although small), a possum eaten cartha, some cartha seedlings & some native Psychotria . All except the native are seed grown. The native came from someone here;).!! Yep, there all small! I had this possum (till it decided it liked fruit in a box - 2 days ago) that would of been nuts! Seems the native animals know about cacti & eating certain combinations of plants. Any way he has moved onto another place 25km aways!

The title says it all! So these were flowering & they definetely aint anymore ;( Any ideas on how to save them?? The single one should survive with a couple of battle scars but the bigger one?

Howdy Any keen smokers out there? Up for trade approx 120g of organically grown seeds. pretty sure its virginian style.... That's enough seed to grow about an acre of plants!!! there is millions of em ;) I am not really looking for anything but happy to trade for some seeds of whatever...preferably not cacti!! some vege seeds would be nice though! It grows easily(maybe a little too easily) & cures well I would prefer to send it out as a chunk & not have to break it down..... Pm me if interested & hope ya all having a nice day!!!
