Just my point of view follows: I worked as a herbalist for a number of years, managing a dispensary in Sydney. We had a homeopath working for us, & I tried some of the remedies & for me & they just didnt cut it. Hours of researching like treats like etc etc. To cut a long story short there werent many return clients/patients. We had this black box ( cant remember its name at the mo) that you put a card into, then set a dial to the potency of the remedy that you were wanting to use & viola you had a "homopathetic" remedy that was supposedly "proven". The receiving remedy was made from french brandy & water. Cant say I ever saw good results with this... The cost for this remedy was about 5 mins of time, & $1 worth of brandy, water, a bottle & a dropper. Sold for at least $10 upwards. easy money.that didnt do much We also made flower essences, bush flower essences & again honestly the result was the same. These essences were made properly by diluting flowers in bowls of water, at the right moon time blah blah. I honestly think the brandy in minute doses was what people needed.Alcohol may be more potent than we realise... You could kind of sum up the type of client that was into these remedies. I hate to stereotype so such leave that well alone.... Although on the other hand Kiniesiology, which I also studied & I cant explain but this one seemed to work....for me any way. My thoughts are Herbs, Vitamins, Lifestyle, Attitude, Acupuncture etc all do work. Homeopathy after being in the industry for a number of years just doesnt cut it. Spend your money on something else.... Evidence based practice, now I support that idea, so that seems why homeopathy is & will be the first "alternative/complementary " medicine to go from being taught in unis etc, which isnt that far off.... I have a bach of Health sciences in Herbal medicine, professional cert in Iridolgy, some pieces of paper in Kiniesiology, Bachelor of health sciences in Complementary medicine, studied cert 3 in massage, & a few other bits n pieces.(bush flower essences etc). I have had my degree for a while now Cant explain 'Homopatheticy' & wouldnt bother.... The worlds full of charletons... Just my 2 cents

Hey Got a few plates to trade or sell.Also a number of dowels.... These things are hot to fruit, just get yourself some straw or a log, or whatever etc & away you go. Looking for prints or acaica seeds or ephedra seeds or tell me what I want or need to grow sure we can work something out Also have 10 Datura seeds ( not sure on variety) 20 Datura Stronium seeds & a few Psychotria Carthegenisis seeds ( happy to give away say 40) that are free to a good home while they are still viable. No one seemed to want before so there are also a few cactus seeds that need planting soon 10 ss02 xSS01 seeds 10 ss02 X bridgesii If any one wants the above or some of the above let me know, if they go I may have a couple more floating around, It never hurts asking If you want to trade then sweet , or if you just want them then sweet,or if you can pay it back in kind one day great, or pass them They just need a good home as I have way to many things to look after these days & someone should be able to use while viable Pm if interested, also leave a message as to what you want so others know Thanks .

Ideally after a named master culture... Pretty sure there are a few different species that are sold as Shimeji, some of which I already have a culture.

Got to love it. My dogs got revenge for you last night. Woke up to find a dead possum partly buried between 2 Peruvian torches. Should of got a photo. It looked pretty funny with it's head sitting between the 2 cacti in the pot. Cacti 1 possum 0

Can see the confusion OPP. And thanks hillbillios I have had good success previously. Think it may have been pc time and not water content. I ended up carrying pc to hood and water may have entered the jars....it was a bit of a distance and a couple of stairs....pc d for 45 mins or so in this case. Grain was soaked and rinsed and drained before sterilizing. I might have been a little lax in covering jars in pc. Hence the dryish grain, wet from movement. You guys adding gypsum? Or anything else to grains? Curious on people's teks

Yep that was Definately an awesome weekend. The chickens do such an awesome thing for us all by putting on these weekends. Hope they covered their costs and then some... Was just the therapy I needed. Just got through hump day & think I lost my personality somewhere on the property some time Sunday morning :)what a great night.... Never meet any of you though - maybe next time hope ya all enjoyed...

Seems to be a bit of a topic at the moment. Whats a reasonable time to wait when the seller said they have heaps of HBWR seeds ready to post I know we are all busy & may get sidelined from on sending trades etc for a few days but a month or more seems like a while. one deposits money in the middle of August, gets a message that as soon as it clears the seeds will be sent, that all is good, wont dissapear with the coin & is good for it.(That should be in 2 days for the $ to clear & the seeds to be sent)$ deposited in middle of August A couple of weeks later I send another message , I know it has been read & received, then another message sent, no reply blah blah Now as far as I know that aint even logging in... So do I name the said seller? & has anyone else been juped by a woodrose seller in the last 6 months? Money is money -whatever - its a transient thing - If he is that hard up for a 100 bucks then then , i dont know. Have only had good experiences with this forum, trades, sales etc in the past. It only takes one person to make me wary of doing it again....

I am about to embark on a very similiar thing with the same seeds sourced from the same places. I was just thinking about how to go about it today...nice timing Tried growing dubosia from seed once before but hoping the Gibbarelic acid works a treat. Hi all Wondering what peoples experiences, tips, knowledge, etc are for innoculating from a slant to dowels? I have access to a pretty good setup & am learning heaps as I go so any advice, learnings etc appreciated Have a couple of edible/medicinal species that I am interested in inoculating onto dowels. I am also asking for any suggestions as to a good source for bulk grains - rye or wheat Cheers
