I've been telling him he's over-caring for it lol, we've had a week straight of 40+ degrees a few wks back and I'm fairly sure he was watering it almost everyday up until the spots started. He is also a little concerned about the softness of the base-centre, I didn't find it all that spongey but he is concerned that is has base rot. I will tell him to leave it without water until they either heal over or it starts looking thirsty. If the bottom becomes more spongey I'll tell him to cut it off at the base and save it.

I love these sort of topics.. brings out the genuine individuals! I can relate soo so much to your friends situation dude.. I myself am living with shame/guilt and lack of self-respect. Although I have admitted my problems and sought help both within this community and with counsellors/psych's. It's a daily struggle to fight off those demons and keep that chin held high.. All my close friends have faded away, off living their lives, getting married and starting a family of their own.. If it wasn't for my daughter and the support of this community, I honestly don't think I'd be posting this today.. Your friend definitely needs you, just make sure you look after yourself too dude.. sleep well, eat properly and although it's fucking hard when it's a close friend.. try to not let their issues get to you too much. You are doing your best and I'm sure he knows that too.. There's nothing more destructive to a depressed person than to lose their connection with friends and family because their becoming a burden to everyone.. I wish the best of luck in your friends recovery and I hope that he see's the light sooner than later. Your a life saver bro.. don't ever forget that!

I've gotta find out what the fuck happened the other week when I had my phone connected via AUX to the surround sound playing some psychill on soundcloud. I had a friend rock up and as he walked in I said to him, "wouldn't it be awesome if there was some sort of psychedelic channel that you could watch late at night to go with music etc." Kinda like a winamp visualization. Knowing that what I was saying was completely stupid because unless it was a video clip on rage or video hits, it just wouldnt happen. Well I left it on ABC1 I think it was.. That had just a notice saying the programs return at 6am. Walked into my back room and started talking with my friend, it was roughly 11.30/12am at night. 10 or so minutes into talking I noticed the front room was flashing brightly with all different colours.. so I walked into the front room and what I seen was simply mind-blowing.. I yelled for my friend to come see it.. There was a DMT-like head with all different waves and rings orbing out from this head figure and the eyes were changing colours and all sorts of totally spun out visuals. The weird thing was.. the volume was up on the tv, yet there was no sound coming out, it was just going with the psychill playing thru the surround sound.. This lasted for roughly 15 or so minutes and then we went out for a cigarette.. by the time we returned it was back to the ABC1 plain screen. Has anybody ever experienced this before?? I honestly have no idea what it was, or what it was caused by..

The visualization was most certainly DMT-ish but no.. I wasn't under the influence of it. lol I seen an ad on facebook the other day saying - Endogenous DMT. It really has been commercialised hasn't it..

hahah nah he was in the back room with me when it came on bogfrog! It does sound coincidental hey.. the fact that I wanted something like that to come on, and it did! I am completely dumbfounded as to what the hell it was.. There was no real people in it, it was just like a DMT-influenced visualization. Apart from the fact I saw a face, this is basically what I was witnessing - It could have quite possibly been a video clip from Entheogenic, Shpongle, Kliment, Shulman or the likes.. It's just strange that there was no sound? Hmm maybe it blended in with the psychill I already had on?
