So today I borrowed this book from the library, after reading about it in another book ~ Plant Spirit Shamanism which was recommended to me by a friend from this forum. Anyway I am interested to see if anyone else on forum here has read it, and indeed if you haven't, I urge you to do so!

Distrust is there for a reason. Does anyone really imagine that the instinct of caution and wariness is a mistake in our DNA? Of course it's a genuine instinct that we have in order to protect ourselves from harm. Its when one starts to ignore one's own intuition that we become exposed and vulnerable to danger. I wouldn't pick up a random hitchhiker for example while I had my kids in the car, that'd be irresponsible of me. However if I'm in a relatively safe area eg not in middle of nowhere and it's a female i'd be fine picking them up. Likewise if I had a man in the car with me, no problem picking up someone. Intuition is not paranoia, and I happily listen to my intuition each and every day

Cheeky witch! Surely she'll just cast a spell whilst locked up and magic herself back home.

Yep thanx T for my safe delivery of my three little aromatic plants, got them yesterday and found them packaged so well that it was an undertaking to unpack them! But as a result of the awesome care in the way they were sent, they arrived in tip top condition and looking great! Thanks again will definitely be ordering in the future and at those prices you'd be mad not to get something from the sab store. Cheers.

While what you're saying is true, white people are generally oblivious to the realities of life in central Aboriginal Australia, The issue also is, however, that white people are so insular by nature that they need to expand their horizons by learning more about Aboriginal culture and what it means to be living on this land that they often take for granted, I do believe the author of this thread merely extended his book review as a way of expressing the need for others to learn more about Aboriginal history. I think you're politicising and negatively spinning a perspective onto what was a genuine intent by the author of this thread, which was to offer his/her thoughts on a book which quite possibly could positively impact upon other people who read it.

Well said and a great recommendation. Magabala books in Broome publish an awesome selection of books, I have read a few from there, but not the one you've mentioned, although I'm aware of the legend that is Jandamurra. My daughter is related to him. I hope at least one person purchases the book upon your cool review.

Telstra, Optus to start censoring the web next month
random replied to Lord Mayonnaise's topic in News & Notices
In all reality, one less accessible view of a child being sexually exploited is a good thing, and I have no problem with those sites being banned. Nor do I care if free legal adult porn gets banned. Sadly though they will use the law to ban other websites etc as mentioned. Australia is comparatively a fantastic place to live in my opinion, and people who have lived in war torn countries struggling and suffering would no doubt agree. I will hear of no un-Australianness in my presence! :P -

Triple Spiral represents the drawing of the three powers of the maiden, the mother and the crone. This symbol stands for female power and the power gained through transition and growth. Triple Spiral has a far reaching meaning. Spirals also stand for balance, progress and direction. Frank What do you mean by this? I am an Air sign astrologically speaking if thats what you meant?
-
Just realised my avatar's not very exciting. Its a white daisy with a native bee perched in the centre. The white daisy does have symbolism though although I wasn't aware of that when I took the photo... My profile picture is actually a Triple Spiral, a Celtic feminine symbol meaning alot of different things... The triple spiral represents me more than the daisy.

Nah the one I showed is a replica selling for $18 at an orient store. Lol. But its still very pretty nontheless.

You're having a chat with your forum mates in the irc chat room and you laugh so hard you think you may stop breathing.

Look what I found on ebay. Disclaimer- purely looking for entertainment purposes at antique pipes online. Anyone want to buy it for me? it's beautiful. P.s this particular one isn't an antique, just some kind of replica from an online orient store. But looks very cool to me.

"your fuckin takin an un-researched chinese chemical" is that what it is? Ew. That's enough of a turn off for me to not want to try it. I had been curious but I think I'll keep my personal ban on artificially produced chemicals and stick to natural plant chemicals instead. Thx for the thread santiago.

www.news.com.au/world/chinese-scientists-genetically-modify-dairy-cows-to-produce-human-breast-milk/story-e6frfkyi-1226071579075

Women have been selling or sharing their breastmilk since the beginning of time, the only dirty connotations surrounding that, would be if the woman supplying said milk, had a contagious disease which was transferable via breastmilk. Genetically modifying cows to produce human breastmilk is not only ridiculous, but mind boggling to say the least.
