  1. Does anyone know if that lady beetle is friend or foe ?

im not sure if they eat plants or eat things that eat plants, i often find them on plants that have been eaten such as the one above.

One particular species of the ladybug, which is known as the Mexican bean beetle, eats plants and is considered to be a pest. Although most ladybugs are carnivores, some also eat mushrooms, pollen and mildew.

I "think" the lady bug in the pic above is a friend, not foe :)

  2. You know, i remember buying sea monkeys (skin monkeys  ) from a coupon in the back of a comic. I was so excited to get them, but was disappointed they didn't grow up as the add depicted them. Many years later when i get into fish keeping, i find out the they are actually brine shrimp...HmmF. :P

  3. Blue shrimp cost a fair bit here in oz hey. I have seen other coloured shrimp go for hundreds in auctions. I'm not familiar with Sulawesi snails, I'll have to google them :)

I have fish tanks with blue Rams, corydorus, Borneo suckers and kuuli loaches, then I have a shrimp tank.

I enjoy seeing your photos of your fish and tanks and plants. You seem very passionate about your hobbies.

    :)
