I've tried to get into e-books , but i just like to hold a book in my hands , it's like i like reading short bursts online , but to sit down and read 1000 page book off a monitor may-be this is were those little e-book readers that are battery operated and you can take to bed might be a good idea ? Any way glad you got the problem under control (but really , forget Ps2 get an X-box you wont regret it !)

Gomas , the ad lists the prouct as being in PAL format wich is the Australian television standard resolution , this basically means that our tv's have a higher resolution that the NTSC format that the Americans use. So if you now own the PAL format version , how does it look on your TV ? I would write back to him and complain that it must be in NTSC because you can't get it to work on your PAL tv ! And as he described it as being PAL compatable it doesn't work as desribed so a refund must be in order ! I would also look into how you paid for the item, if you paid via credit card or pay-pal you'll be ok , but if you did a direct deposit straight into his account there won't be much recourse.I once had a problem on e-bay that was similar , I didn't give up and just google searched the pricks name and handle and followed him around cyberspace making an ass of him (i was lucky he was the moderator of a forum so i joined his own forum and told his readers what a prick he was , trouble was he just blocked my IP adress and deleted the posts -lucky i have about 25 different IP address' on different machines here at work so he eventually he surendered and gave me what i wanted !) As i live way down south , further south than Melbourne I was wondering if it was worth giving growing Kratom one last chance.I tried once before and failed and that was a costly failure.So what i was wondering was how far South have others seen or grown this plant?

Had a friend that planted out a couple of acres of ginseng at the top of the Yarra Valley a few years back.From memory they like it cold and the harder the growing conditions the more potent the product and they need shade . I also recall that shape had a lot to do with the price they got. It seems that if you grew a root that looked like a human shape (eg: 2arms , 2legs, head )it would be worth the most ? If you grew them in nice deep plowed ground and watered them heaps they wouldn't be as good quality ,he planted his around the base of gums that grew on his property , mulched with pea straw and covered with shade cloth. There is a ginseng growers association from memory and the seed was pretty pricey , but they are worth good money if grown properly.

Your right , Eleusis wasn't always right (but not bad for an arts student ! )I could never understand what was right but it's now clear seeing out in writing. The "Ice" i've seen was very white(?) and hardly worth the effort ? Yeah it had a low melting point , but what ever it was it didn't come close to expectations. :confused:

This may become a full-fledged FAQ in the future, depending on user response and outside input donated where this will undoubtedly be deficient. *STANDARD DISCLAIMER* This is for informational purposes only. It is being produced in order to illustrate the novel structure and effects of the aryl-oxazolines. Use this information at your own risk, I cannot be held responsible for what you do with it, etc... and so on. Q1. What is Ice? A1. Ice is a norepinephrine potentiator (neuromodulator class). It has a characteristic look and feel, like white opaque ice, hence the name. Ice is currently a Schedule I drug as designated by the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) which means it is felt to have NO medical use whatsoever. It was originally researched for appetite suppressant ability, but never pursued, probably because it's too much fun. Ice is also synonymous with "U4Euh". Q2. Can Ice/U4Euh be made from amphetamine/methamphetamine? A2. It is *technically* possible, but requires some backwards motions to get back to a sec. alcohol. At least one individual, in a personal communication to me, indicated that "they knew of someone who could convert crank [methamphetamine] into ice by washing it with something". This is not possible and more than likely is just a street name for clean crank (meth). Q3. What kind of chemical is it? A3. In drug parlance, which is notoriously Non-IUPAC compliant, Ice is synonymous with "Euphoria" (U4Euh), 4-Methylaminorex, or, chemically speaking: dl-cis-2-amino-4-methyl-5-phenyl-2-oxazoline. This is a tongue twister of a name, so I will explain and illustrate it with a cheap floozie of an ascii drawing. // // ____ _____ ____CH3 | || | | | || | | / O N / // // | N / H H The numbering starts at the heterocyclic Oxygen and goes counter-clockwise. So the amine is at the 2 position, the methyl is at the 4 position, a phenyl ring is tacked on at the 5 position. Also, the 2-oxazoline part is often merely called oxazoline, as the double bond to the heterocyclic Nitrogen is implied. It is interesting to note that all of the stereoisomers of 4-MAR are centrally active [1] (ie - it is not stereospecific in action). Q4. What does Ice/U4Euh do? A4. The document at Hyperreal.com describing the effects of Euphoria would be a good place to start. Anecdotally, it is said to help concentration and thinking - a sort of "make-you-smarter" drug, with a minor speed-like component to it. Time of action is around 4-6 hours (some say 14-16). Dosage varies but a good start is 20mg for a 150lb individual. It is smoked as the free base or the hydrochloride salt - both have relatively low melting points. Cognate Preparation of 4-Methylaminorex Reagents Phenylpropanolamine HCl Methanol Cyanogen Bromide Sodium Acetate Sodium Carbonate Water Benzene (or similar) Ether Extraction of Phenylpropanolamine from OTC preparations Extract Phenylpropanolamine HCl (PPA) from OTC diet pills by crushing and dissolving in 5mL ethanol and 5mL distilled water per gram of PPA. Decant solution onto the Buchner funnel and repeat with 2 more volumes of solvent. Use ethanol/water instead of just water because it has less tendency to form a colloid with any cellulosic binders present which would otherwise severely clog the filter paper. Distill off most of the solvent then add cold water to dissolve all of the PPA solids. Basify to approximately pH 9 with 10% Sodium Carbonate or Sodium Hydroxide solution. Extract out PPA base using 3 volumes of ether of approximately 1/3 the volume of water. The ethanol will follow into the ether as well, but very little of the formed salt will. Distill off ether/ethanol for later recovery of the solvents and weigh the amount of solid PPA base, mp 101C. The amount you process here determines, obviously, the amounts of everything else to use later on. Forming the Oxazoline Ring The ideal ratio of all the reagents is as follows [2]: 1.0 Mole Phenylpropanolamine (MW: 151.2) 1.1 Moles Cyanogen Bromide (MW: 105.93) 3.0 Moles of Sodium Acetate (MW: 82.04) The Sodium Acetate may be prepared by carefully adding an equinormal amount of Sodium Hydroxide to glacial Acetic Acid and drying the resultant salt at 120C for 15 minutes. The preparation of Cyanogen Bromide is covered in another document of mine. This compound should only be prepared in an area of *adequate* ventillation. A full covering fume hood is ideal (geez - make one, I did) or outside with the wind blowing away from you. Cyanogen Bromide acts on cytochrome oxidase just like any other cyanide and can kill you quite effectively and quickly. Also, it has been known to decompose spontaneously when impure. Dissolve 15g (.142M) of Cyanogen Bromide in 50mL of Methanol at 0C. Dissolve 19.5g (.129M) of Phenylpropanolamine and 31.8g (.387M) of Sodium Acetate in 300mL of Methanol at 0°C. Place this in a round bottom flask equipped with a stirrer magnet and addition funnel. Add the Cyanogen Bromide solution to the flask though the addition funnel over a period of 15 minutes with stirring. React for an additional 45 minutes at 0°C. Evaporate solvents at reduced pressure and with gentle water bath heat (50C tops) - do not attempt to recover! Dissolve the oily residue in water and then add saturated Sodium Carbonate solution until a white solid precipitates. Filter this cake of white solid on the Buchner, then wash twice with ice cold water and dry in a vacuum dessicator. Recrystallize the crude dried product from Benzene to yield ~63%. *OPTIONAL* - Form the hydrochloride salt by bubbling HCl gas though the Benzene until white crystals fall out or shaking with 5% HCl and evaporating the water off. Can't say they're not serious! I often wondered wether a similar program would not be a good idea in Oz ? The cost to the community in fixing up smoking related health issues , is still much more than that is raised from the taxes impossed on smokers . This means smoking as an industry is subsidised ? If they really were serious about containing the up take of smoking this seems to be a good solution.

Gomaos, Your right on the money with the point about Tobacco + Cannabis .I was only able to brake from the addiction once i realised that it was the tobacco the i was more addicted to than the cannabis . Sounds stupid that it took me 20 years to work this out but i didn't really think i needed to change my lifestyle anyway. I was one of those people that was utterly adicted , would go crazy if i couldn't have a smoke.People say that it's only a psycological addiction , but let me assure you that the nicotine side of the equation is physical.I'm not fanatical against dope (had a smoke last night !though without the tobacco it just didn't cut it ? must say it has lost alot of appeal green.) but i have realised life is easier for me than it ever was, now i've tamed it. Alcohol , well i like to drink (2 cans , per man , per day ) but i just don't have the time to be hung-over anymore so i usally stop before i get to bad , but then it seems to be relevant to when you start to drink. Eg: if i open a beer around lunch time on a Saturday , that normally spells the begining of the end. Gerbil: No offence ment , by my statement but i still believe that if a person needed to smoke Cannabis to cope , they are the last person that should be smoking it. The fact that a person may need to depend on any substance just to cope tells me that there a problems that need to be fixed not covered over. If you change it around and look at it in the context of alchohol , if a person needed to drink to cope , then you would be classed an alcholic and drinking is not going to make it better. I drove to Cairns a few weeks ago and wondered how a Cane grower makes money as i drove.I live and work in South Western Victoria, and even a shitty looking dairy has more going for it than most of the cane farms i passed .The wheat and sheep properties out here in the western district are in much better shape than any property i saw up north , and these guys complain down here!! i just was blown away by how much good land was covered in sugar , i mean lets face it north queensland has shitty soil and where ever it looked promissing it was full of sugar!!These growers seem to be living on nothing, gowing a crop that seems to worth nothing (unless it is heavily subsidised al-lah USA )then why bother ? i mean some of this land has to have a more productive use. As for cattle , i took a drive up as far as Mount Carbine on the Cape York development road and was suprised as to how shit the cattle looked , they looked like old Freishan heffas ! For beef cattle they looked in worse shape than a boney dairy cow . Now may-be it's dry up there , maybe a Brahma is just a boney beast, but there was a lot of land tied up making what i considered poor quality cattle . Dam , I wish we would get over our problems with eating kangaroo. I eat heaps of it , mainly because it's cheap. But it just makes so much more sense to farm roo's than cattle in country like this.

My wife was felt up by a monk in the back of a truck in Laos i "99 , i was sitting next to her and thought it was hysterical !! The truth is that it brings great honor to the family for a son to become a monk and spend the wet season in a temple .They go in , spend there time just like any normal person would and go back to normal life a few months later (sort of like the religous reserves !) The honor and respect the family gets is a good thing so they are all encouraged to do it at least once in their life.

The best of the best :grin: White Fluff-Very pure(95%) white light flakes of crystal. Still around and the most sought after. very pure Silver-Good and clean(85-90%)-light greyish crystal. Was an unbelievable amount of this around in the late eighty`s and early nineties. Very good stuff. My first thumbprint was this kind. If you ate acid in the 80-90`s you probably sampled some silver. Amber-Decent(70%?) This crystal varied from a light amber color to an almost dark brown color.Was always available.One batch called quadricept amber was the color of light honey and was very good.Lot`s a people worked with this crystal but i always would use silver instead since it was better and the same price. Lavender-(60-70%?) light purple to almost black colored crystal. Like amber it varied batch to batch. TJ(tornado juice) - purity unknown. I seen this shit in about four different colors and it always scared me. no experiance with it. Champagne-(50-60%) black crystal, nasty stuff IMHO. I worked with it once and swore to never touch it again. As for LSD in a liquid form, i would imagine that it would be very unstable if not stored in a perfect environment and could possibly break down , thus giving different experiences ?
