Co2 extraction sounds like the oils are frozen out of the plant matter : plant matter is locked in a tube , co2 gas is passed through the tube & material, plant matter is frozen , oil is not and drips out the end of pipe. Oil is collected (all be it very cold !) just a hunch no idea if it is how a co2 extraction works ? But in theory it could work this way.

The all powerfull US$ has always amazed me as to why most of Asia wants them , doesn't seem to matter if you are in Indonesia , Cambodia , Laos they all want Us $. I can understand that it is seen as a stable currency , which is a good thing if you live in an unstable part of the world , but even in Bali they are more confident with the US$ than our AU$ ? The Euro (funny this keyboard doesn't have a Euro symbol ?) should be much more stable given the amount of countries using it , but the obvious question to me is why don't we have an Asia / Pacific equivalent ? All those struggling Pacific nations , and most of South East Asia (us included) could form a sort of "South Pacific Paeso" (thanks Mr. Keating ) Now that would have some clout! I was thinking about the way that plants are made ilegal and how it could be handled better. I was a handgun owner until short barrelled , high capacity magazine handguns were banned. Legaly i was allowed a semi auto 9mm for target shooting (not like it was for shooting dangerous or delicous animals or keeping the king of England out of your face !! - thanks Krusty )Any way after the Monash Uni incident this all changed almost overnight. All hand guns that had a barrell lenght less than 160mm (could be wrong about the lenghth it was a while ago )or a magazine capacity grater than 10 were almost instantly banned , that meant you couldn't even use up the ammo you had left , all you could do was get to a buy back centre by the set date. Anyway the point being i was well compensated , i actually made a handsome profit from the buyback . Retailers were compensated too , sometimes even better than the public ! This was because this buyback affected their business as they had to hand back stock (assets of the business ). So as the new year approaches and all law abiding citizens are getting ready to rip up and burn their plants - (no compensation) - and you poor retailers that actually have to destroy stock (assets ) the question of compensation arises . I have not heard how the retailers/public will be compensated for their loss , my guess is they wont be ! So the question arises "why is it so ? " is it a matter of not having a loud enough voice ? may-be their are no votes here ? As i could imagine a few more species going the same way , may be it's time to work out some sort of action plan now so were ready next time ?

They would soak the tobacco leaves in water , then spray the water onto the trees.He said it worked well , but not as well as DDT ! On the subject of betel , the lime that i've used came from tropical coral , any ideas where i can find that down south or will any alkaline do ? And what about those lumpy been things that go with them ? Do they actually do anything to help or are they just a part of tradition ? :confused:
