    Cheaper, to just update imo. You can pick up some really good deals for a eeasonable office pc without all the mucking around with compatability of this with that etc.

    While there are reasonably cheap budget pcs around it will work out a fair bit cheaper when things such as the case, power supply, HDD, operating system are not needed.

    Ballzac, thanks for that run down, its really helpful. It wont be overclooked. It really is just a simple home office computer. Just needs to run smoothly for basic programs and be a reliable brand as my folks are rural and i am not around to fix issues and computer stores are expensive to get something minor looked at.

    It all seemed overwhelming with such variation in price and functions but youve made it seem simpler. Time to make some lists. Thanks again

    My folks computer is quite old and runs like shit and i was reading about rebuilding it. I can get my head around most of it but the numerous motherboards has me confused as to what is best suited to the various uses of a computer.

    Can someone recommend a good motherboard that would be suitable for upgrade in the future. It would only be used for general office duties, email, accounting word docs. No real intense video or audio use besides occasional youtube and emailed short vids.

    Curious if any computer heads can help out. With a mobo sorted i should be able to work out the rest independently

    Im not sure if that was a joke but the film clip for that song has obvious advertising for nike. I hadnt heard of this group before so maybe im missing something

    Or is that the new thang to do? Fight consumerism by getting paid by huge companies that promote consumerism?

    I can understand the desire to want your babies to grow fast and all that but IMO hard grown lophs look the best. IVe seen many that people have tried to grow under lights in winter and they get a distorted shape.

    Your climate says tropical so I doubt winter would be anything stressful for them. Mine get a few degrees below 0 every year and they are not bothered. Plus you get the joy of seeing them burst back into life as it warms up again. For me thats worth the few months of no growth.

    Anyway just an idea. Maybe you could keep some to grow 'natural' for that matured tough look

    What do you guys do when you catch a undersized fish with the hook deep in its throat?

    I know some people cut the hook from the line saying it will rust away quickly but I am doubtful. Anyone know more about that?

    I think to b considered a musician u need to understand some basic rudimentary music...eg notes, chords, chord infrastructure & music infrastructure.

     

    That seems to be a very limiting concept of a musician. There are many people that have no music theory knowledge yet are amazing and succesful musicians. The other side is someone can know and understand all those things you mention yet are not able to write a good song. I find it hard to understand thow someone that makes music that has an impact on others is not a musician simply because they cant use music theory to explain what they are doing or why they are doing it.

    Your comparisson to an artist tracing is not quite fair. Tracing would be more like covering songs and not being able to write anything original wouldnt it?

    Some really powerful music has been written by people that had no teacher and no understanding of music theory

    What is unnecessary about eating guinea pigs compared to any other meat or vegetable?

    I thought a small, non-hardhooved animals, low food requirements would be great in an australian context?

    Ive seen guinea pigs in a small cage with just grass and vege scraps for food. No hay or pellets and they did that 'popping' thing every day so im not sure how necessary all those things are for a happy pig. There was also one that raped the others a lot, kinda weird :blink:

    But things evolve and change. White culture isnt the only culture to misappropriate other cultural traditions. This is not a new thing. Cultural exchange has been happening since forever.

    Life would be so miserable if I had to eat only food that people of my heritage ate or if technology only stayed in the country or cultural that invented it.

    Just to add, Dan there is no reason why meets cant be posted here too. In the past they often were but then it normally always ended up being only AE people that actually went to the meets so I think people just stopped posting here.

    The more the merrier. Its normally just the same crew that rocks up so new faces are always good.

    my 2 cents. The main serial trading thread gets stuck often so it may be best to keep it all in one thread for the purpose of keeping things rolling?

    Having said that, im mainly only interesting in getting more cacti these days so I would be more likely to use this thread

    I dont really buy the story as being true given Assanges current status but that is kinda not important for this discussion.

    I am amazed that guys here think they have a right to abuse a woman if she changes her mind about something. Sure stopping and putting a condom on can change things a bit but fuck its not that bad. The sense of entitlement some of you are showing is fucking gross.
