Request for postponement of camping trip for 1 week?
Dodie replied to AndyAmine.'s topic in News & Notices
Well I havent yet expressed interest but I was hoping to make it, only get every 2nd w/end off work this one being the one off. Is it postponed till August 3rd or 10th? -
How far is "planted shallow"? You only have to lay them on the surface, i usually just plomp them on top and sprinkle a layer no more than 1mm of sand so their roots have something to dig into, keep moist and humid.

Pd is my memory right when it says that you said you haven't picked up a pen in a long time to draw? If so, Pick up a god damn pen man! that is aw-inspiring!

I predict that when the new water pipeline is nearing completion we will get massive downpours rendering it virtually useless...

what variety of loph seed would u advise to grow and why?
Dodie replied to SirLSD's topic in Cacti & Succulents
Im thinking about doing what teo said, from koehlers (spelling?) mixed bag is cheap, would be great to learn to grow and graft with. Also go with what you think looks beautiful.. edit, importing loph seed is illegal -

I didnt take any pics I left my camera in the car...the memories live on.. Did anyone happen to take a pic of "The winning" succulent? I didnt get a name from it due to them placing the win sticker over the genus name! It was the crazy yellow looking one on the higher bench..

Thats very normal TR, the little 'pokey' bits on the ends are called leaflets.. Most of the pups Ive seen come off Tbms have a rib structure but fatten and round out later on

What a great show once again, I was a bit disapointed in the ammount of cacti there compared to how many succulents, but then again, I had nowhere near enough money to buy what i wanted Picked up these little puppies.. I picked up your Tbm GD, but put it back as it would of busted my budget pretty quickly, and it was a bit smaller than the one I got last year for that price, but tis still a bargain

I got myself a nice Tbm last year, had around 12 pups.. didnt see any other trichs, no perries lophs or arios for sale. Nice little variety of astros and just ornamentals, echinocactus, espostoa, a couple pachycereus, mamms, too many to remember, not too mention they had equally as many succulents. All of what they sell are from the members grow themselves from the CSSQ. A good display too.

I should be there Saturday, hopefully in the morning to see if theres anything of interest, things sell quick there. Sounds like a good time to have a meet?
