Acid is Acid I think the more experienced poeple would know if they stuff they had was actually LSD or something else or even a lower dose

Personally i think buddhism is interesting i like their beliefs and the laws of karma, I think shamanism is a VERY important religion if u could call it that but has worked for tribal communities throughout the ages and offers any real connection with Gaia and the REAL world

Yeh i eagerly watched Insight and was dissapointed at the fact it took em 22 bloodly minutes to differentiate between drugs! And the fact that most of the young people did seem like they had some knowledge and research on their drug of choice, but i wasn't satisfied with thier knowledge especially the old folk who when saying "drugs" meant Hammer, most poeple know basically fuck all about drugs except for what they choose to research on. I was however impressed with some of the arguments especially the NZ psycologist, And the other Psycologists and Harm reduction Poeple had very good points.One thing that the older folk didn't seem to grasp was that pill testing can have good benefits because after they are tested the user can make a decision to take the drug/s and if its pure or adulterants have been added. But the old guy just kept saying how when harm reduction was around that they basically condoned the drug taking when infact they want to reduce harm and inform young drug users. Also the points on prohibition were excellant i like the guy who said "IF u had an illegal substance would you put it into Al Capones hands to distribute?" We are VERY slowly making some progress i gues :confused:

It is a very sad world we've created were poeple love to judge others for wrong doings, etc I think it takes a much stronger person to realise they have a problem and try and persist to change that perticular situation, I have much Respect for poeple who have admitted a addiction and overcome it

So i need some advice from anyone really but i feel all ppl on this forum have open minds and thoughts unlike many "friends" i know.Anyway i moved from QLD to SA got this Job in a factory and i found i actually enjoyed the work, and some of the workers were my age early 20s so i thought i would try and make friends..... Anyway i did make friends with two of these workers, anyway i starting becoming an ethonohead and found that most of wat i was saying to these "friends" either laughed or ridiculed and even really put me down for talkinjg about shamanism once and said i was a tripper which i admit i am quiet a percicular person :D Anyway i moved out with this 1 dude from work called C things were going alright expect i felt really depressed and bad cuz these "friends" kept putting me down, and i thought i must be me, anyway around new years C took some pills freaked out to the MAX! and the next day i got home he was no where to be seen !!!The FUCKER moved out leaving me with all the bills and shit for 3months until i eventually got out, At first everyone at work was like why the fuck did he ditch u and shit, and now they love the fucker and im the bad guy, and this other "friends" kept tryinh to give me advice get ur license, buy some nice clothes go out clubbing WAT A aLoad of SHIT!!! the fake materialistic lifestyle is wat they were try to get me to conform to as they are more conditioned then me And i think thats why i was getting so pissed of all the time anyway i dont see either of em outta work but have to rock up every fucken day and act like its all honky doory while they talk about me behind my back! Well i suppose i deserve some of it i have verbally abused almost everyone at work, Anyway i feel like know i cant be friends with such closed minded ppl who continue to consume and detroy the planet and try to get me to do the same! So i feel like its time to leave this job but the sad part is i really enjoy the work but the ppl :mad: I really wanna do yr 12 again and go to uni but how i figure is i got another 8months of hell to get their, Anyway any advice would be appreciated sorry for the rant but i had ti tell someone, and i love this forum makes me laugh so much and everyone seems to be able to connect thanks for reading

Last month, Dr David Caldicott and his team were available to attend the Two Tribes dance party at the Wayville Showgrounds. His group the Royal Adelaide Designer Drug Academic Research (RADAR) unit, made up of nurses, doctors, scientests and police were preparing to continue their ground nreaking work into the use and abuse of designer drugs. But the States Department of health again withheld a license to heldle illict substances. This meant RADAR coundnt invite users to submit their pills for testing, couldnt tell them whats inside those pills and couldnt warn them of the risks. More importantly, they couldnt be on hand if something went wrong in the heat of the night. And, by the way at the Two Tribes event, six people were admitted to hospital. I'm not a drug user, although like many of my generation, I've done this and that and see them as being part of the landscape of youth. One thing I'm sure of is drugs-are poison. Polictical poison that is , and no politician wanting to hold a seat will go near them. For John Howard the safest drugs policy is one of unremitting war waged by the police. Education and harm-minimisation are simply hippy-trippy appeasements to a brainless minority. If you ask me, given the license decisions, it seems the Rann Government is succubing to some of that Federal pressure. I'm amazed at the backlash to Dr Caldicott's work. Some people have said the group is actually encouraging drug use. Others think a policy of "bugger the druggies, let em "die" is more effective.since 2002, the RADAR team has been attending raves and effectively piggy-backing on the practice of pill-testing carried out by drug users. What most of us dont realise is lots of party goers are already testing their drugs using easily obatained kits. They want a "trip" -not a trip to the hospital. The RADAR group is simply taking their data, giving them a sound idea of what's in their pills, and asking them questions about their habits. The team is gaining valuable insights into the ever-changing world of party drugs. And i have to wonder, how can this be a bad thing? If you think the average party drug user is some washed-out dead beat, think again. According to research, he or she is typically tertiary educated , holdind down a well-paid job and in a risk taking phase of their lives. They might do it for 3 to 5 years, usually between the ages of 18 and 30, before leaving it all behind for lives built around families and career paths. But is Dr Caldicott being soft on drugs? No. Drug users will take however much we say it's wrong. RADAR has simply stepped forward to keep them alive while they're doing it. RADAR says it's research strongly supports the international evidence that a policy of zero tolerance is polictically expedient but useless. In spite of continued busts. Australia is still swamped with designer drugs ( the UN's Global Report on Amphetamines says the country has the worlds highest per capita use of ectasy) Police raids in Adelaide area recently yielded four types of pills. Yet at a typical rave, RADAR identifes 80 types of pills- ones that can be logged and analysed so doctors can manage potential overdoses. South Australia's pills are really, really bad, says Dr Caldicott. They've got horrible contaminants such as LSD, Ketamine and in some cases poisons. And because of the low purity, poeple are double-dropping-taking more pills to achieve the same effects. The Red Mitsubishi pill had such terrible effects because of double droppers were unaware that it was unusaully pure, and they overdosed. RADAR research figures (obtained for free because it's voluntary work) are so rare and valuable that the rest of the world-including renowned academic publications- are seizing on the data. And how does our Government react? By denying them licenses to continue their work. I can't help feeling there are dark forces working against this team, buoyed by moral and religious objections, shored up by a lack of political will. The refusal of the license is a sad testimony of this. This state was once renowned for its fresh perspective and bold social policy. If Don Dunstan were around i wonder if there might be some more progressive discussion instigated at higher levels? Or as he chillingly puts it "Now we can only sit and wait for the bodies to arrive" by Amanda Blair P.S. in the pic of Dr Caldicott he is looking at some pills in his hand and i noticed on his t-shirt the chemical structures of designer drugs MDMA,2CB, Mescaline- quite interesting
