  1. a simple lightbulbe fixture can be put underneath

some shelving, or even put in an inflammeable box,

which has a sort of glasshouse structure on the top...

40 watts cover you a 35cm by 50 cm hotbox.

between the bulb and the pots ample space must be provided, using say dishes filled with sand.

the pots themselves rest on some glassshelving.

this apparatus was called a edwardian box and

"in the good old days" a kerosine lamp was the heatsource. co2 was so produced and some (now seemingly)impossible tasks were performed.

on ships those boxes transported stuff like the

pinapple to england. it got there propagated and than

sent of again to the colonies. gee, those people must have been good!

leave a hole in the box so you see if the bulb is burned out. this is a very cheap bottomheat divice. i dont take any responibility for your

    handycraft skills, dont start fires...

  2. i guess i wanted to be first known

    as somebody who knows "things".

and the sphagnum methode works, but

the person in question(its, not ed)

forgot to save the rest of the parcel from

nocking arround. in other words: this person

    did put the parcel prepared

your way in a bigger one, without any material

stopping it from shaking arround whilst transport took place...

    result:

    ;(

    :D

  3. the plant is erythrina spp. in english coral tree!

and i allways wondered why its so popular in sa.

my innervoice tells me this is the stuff all those

brujos are on.a ozy native form excists.

mostly though the use is strictly ornamental/religious.

why its so common is easy explained:

    its in abandunce there.

excuse me freudian/jung thing again, but they just

like it there (in south america) because it looks like a phimotic penis or/and like a virgin vagina...

  4. good to hear we are still friends!

i recieved a parcel that way and it was "say"

    50% succsessfull.

i am just very longterm sensitive!

(is it against forum rules to call myselfe names?)

i got it out now, this minute circumstance happening at eb 1.

but i hate it when people lough at my expense, specialy if i try to help them.

i respect you big times, just do the same!

got no interrest in causing trouble!

  5. in one of my sab dreams dl appeared to me giving me following hint:

seal entire plantlet in soft agar, so to avoide squashing.

i hope mentionig your name was ok dl.

i dont want to projekt anything onto anybody,

certainly i want to avoide a blowup baseball

    bets duell at sundown.

here i not only learn about plants,

i even learn here how to increase my sence of humor! adrian have you ever considered a

    carier as dispute councillor?

thx, anyway you made me lough at the phlepophylla topic.

  6. hi, all!

thx to the white album i knew how to writte

    hapiness!

torsten, you did well by sharing some of your

seeds with me. i bet you knew allready 4 month ago allready that i (strikes eye brow with index finger)would succeed.

in case that others out there have been /or are less successfull with these one, i say i

    did "things" to it.

aswell i am greatfull to my late mother,

green thumbs are genetic, and she tought me to be patient with seeds requiering long periods of stratification.

her "thing" was growing ginko biloba from seed! that means chilling and a wait of up to 2 years!

on the 14.09.02 i planted those seeds and on the 15.01.03 they emerged! surely by now you

know what i am talking about.

right away as a standard measurment i snail

guarded those little beauties, nothing worse

than after having overcome dormancy to see ones plantlets ending up as snailfood...

bla, bla, bla, what am im talking about?

    ilex paraguariensis!

others out there, pls tell me your mate story!

  7. ok rev. i know you are her friend.

i agree with inpsyght as reference i tell you the story of the rare kenilworth toad nsw(latin name forgotten)

it was discovered to (if memory serves me well) breed her babys in the stomach.

a rare and to this moment not known substance

made this possible by alternating the gastro

    acid juices.

than all fgn wa***rs of the pharmacompanys

    went ther stealing the toads.

i think its classified exctinct now- only few years after discovery.

lets collect money for building a fence arround

    mt. buffalo...lol

    tragedy plus time equals comedy.

  8. oh, both movies i saw and agree with you.

sbs makes my live here better than ever before.

american movies are mostly just stupid bang, bang.

i dont know why but polish movies i rate the

    highest on sbs.

those films i remeber even after years, whilst those movies at other channels are just crapp for brainwashed.

maybee the witnesses of jehova are right.

    WAKE UP, mankind.

  9. i read in a fossiking magazine:

if you are on your own an fell a heartattack

coming on you got a few second before passing out. start coughing strongly like clearing your throut. self cpr.

hope your dad makes a full recovery and please avoid the medical centre where the stuffed up mr. biggs from the be gees.

  10. with two things i dont agree:

its not easy to ship but yes very possible,

and i doubt its good to leave the sludge for

so long in the fermenter till its color changes to brown. (loss of goodies?)

one more thing once you reach the drying

out phase, transvere it onto a dish where you

can scrape it of- this stuff gets soo sticky

    at certain stages.

im looking for seeds, swape you catha 3 breeds avail. or even viridis...

of 14 seeds only 2 germinated but excatly

those i thought that would do it whilst inspecting. one took 2 weeks other one 3.

no bottom heat was used, just now summer

    and out of direct sunlight.

  11. i tryed to stress them into flowering in summer, but i had pitty with those little rascals and could not stick to it.

on the net are pics of (flowering)kannas from russian

glasshouses, no idea how cold it is in there but: short internodes, lots of sceletonised

leaves and fat (waterstoring) leaves can

    be observed from those photos.

i found those sites using only the term

    "tortuosum".

and bye the way i could have taken an other

    hundred cuttings with ease.

so probagation is swift and easy...

  12. mate helped me a lot taking breaks of alko,

    and other stuff.

i only tried it few times but once i reached

the bottom of the bag where the powder was, it

    didnt taste nice anymore.

    why?

it contains chlorgensaeure thats the magic ingredience,

isnt it? sorry dont know in english.

aswell i believe that the stroh is used to siphon of stronger concentrations of the brew, wiche are forming closest to the leaves.

  13. oh, darklight on the ground, let me offload

    aswell...

darklight, do you remember daniels party?

"normaly" if a guitarist hands over his instrument to an other, they state the type of how its tuned..

    hmm...

you tryed to make me look stupid in front of all, by not telling me.

so i just believe to know what is wrong with some of your

    propagation work but

    pff...

    i want tell you.
