looks like this plant got, heat burned in transit, maybe your vendor can try again, when it's a colder time of the year.

once you plant them out, they might get sunburn and/or a bit limp for a while, because they never experienced wind or strong sun...
if possible put a fan into your grow area, once in a while to make the tissue strong, or be extra careful, when you choose to plant them out. extra careful means, get the plants slowly adjusted.
but even if you don't harden out the plants, before planting out, they most likely will survive, and form new tougher shoots from than one.

Thanks for that toast! Very keen on that issue now too!
I was unsuccessful with acetone extracts of this plant recently. Long soaks, short soaks, plain leaf, 50x leaf, and nadda.... The search continues!
I have heard of people, putting fresh material into a blender, and than squeeze out the juice, of the pulp, using various means.

one of my "fake" lago seeds started to emerge today!
I guess the germination time was around 3 weeks, and this outdoors, over winter.
the cotyledon, or maybe better, the embryonic leaves, are still closed, because the "skin" of the seed has not come off yet. attached to the skin, the fluffy hairy part of the original seed is still attached. this might suggest, I should have planted the seeds deeper into the potting mix.
hmm, I just took a pic of the seedling and the "skin" fell off with ease, so no problems, the seedling didn't get strangled.
my hopes are, that the fake lago is easier to grow as the real, but still contains the same goodies.

Accidentally posed in wrong forum. Mods move to cacti and succulents please. Unless the offer of trading my copiapoa offsets is enough to keep it here?
pm one of the super mod's (eg) to have it moved.
nice specimens, good quality pictures, nice one.
