    hi!

    ok, I did my homework as good as possible and tried to solve the issue, without asking the forum, but failed.

    I worked out as well, that this is maybe, not a problem caused my my pc.

    I think, it happens to other people as well, because I noticed some members url's in the signature field, are "grey and don't work as a hot link".

    I used to be able to add a hotlink to my signature field, and when I wanted to update my signature, instead of being "click able" the url stayed grey and doesn't work as hot link.

    another member told me, that his toolbar, at the signature field, displays a BBCode mode switch (top left).

    but my field doesn't display a BBC switch.

    many members have hotlinks displayed in there signature field, so I don't want to miss out either, please help.

    really nice pic!

    nice as well, to have a good look at other peoples collections.

    those (cacti) seedlings are so neatly placed, so you could have ocd, lol (meant well).

    the ario, is a super specimen!

    the vascular plant seedlings look a little bit leggy, but they will be ok.

    I always take seedlings out of the dome (or at least remove the lid), once they poked there heads out, so I avoid to have to harden them out.

    funny idea, to use sally mulch, for the psychotria, but I like. :)

    I have as well lost many collections in my life,

    150 old enamel advertising signs,

    very old complete comic collection,

    my mineral collection,

    and my tenant, once chopped down all my cacti... :(

    I like it, that you are not afraid to ask, this for your mate.

    I saw one footage, and this person had a giant still, which was on flames (I will edit this out if requested).

    the best is to act very fast, regarding the re building, my cacti are now almost as tall, as when I lost the old ones, and this certainly soothes the mind.

    in every bad thing that happens, lies as well something good.

    after a war, the industries get re built, and this makes the looser, often better over time than the winner, if the winner hangs onto the old technology, and often they do...

    I observed what you show in the pic's above, once in a while,

    but don't know what exactly is the cause.

    it's either caused as well by small sucking pest animals, like the mites, or a sign that the plant is not happy, because the conditions suddenly changed dramaticly.

    for me the above symptoms always went away on there own, they pose no risk to the plant, so don't worry.

    maybe the curled leaves are even caused by, less than ideal soil/pot conditions.

    you still use those large pots, and the potting mix looks like very bad to me as well.

    I would re pot into smaller pots, using a top quality seed raising mix.

    good to hear, your other plant has fully recovered! :)

    I think, I got a firefox, forcefully uploaded when I uploaded google earth, is that the browser you use?

    I am worried fire fox and ie cause havoc on my pc...

    I would need spoon feeding here, if you recommend fire fox, how to I disable ie?

    anyway, I try tomorrow your search, and report back.

    as said leaves easely, form root, but that's it, they will not grow into plants.

    and even if some would grow into plants, it would be very time consuming so totally useless!!

    peres, will strike without problems, even if you use very small cuttings, and this is what you have to do if you start of with little, and need quickly a lot of plants.

    teo, was the first, I know of who reported, using the tiny tip, you cut off a peres when you graft them, meaning a peres cutting can be only 2mm long or so.

    every part of a peres will form roots with ease, that means, you can slice many cuttings, from a single stem.

    I would say 2 node cuttings are long enough.

    but, small cuttings, will establish themselves quite slow (the rough common rule is, small cuttings, less and shorter root formation),

    so it's really the best to only use tip cuttings, of around 5cm lengh.

    those tip cuttings will grow roots fast and long, and you wont have to graft onto a side shoot, so they are aesthetic.

    longer cuttings than 5cm will work too. some people like to graft onto long sections of peres, and the reason is that they, will produce a more vigorous stock. so if you grow for a competition, or need maximum growth, go for long sections of peres stock, up to 15cm or more. :)

    but, with age those grafts start to bend downwards, with the weight of the heavy loph, so I avoid those these days.

    I love lissening to smart people, and it makes me feel good and cosy.

    on the other hand, it hurts me to lissen to stupid people, like the guy on the right, hehehe.

    it always hurts me to lissen to tony, so I quickly change the channel.

    when qld fell into the coalitions hands, Campbell sacked many people who were educators, this short term money saving solution, has dire consequences in the long run.

    as the smart guy say's in the video, education is the most important thing.

    not everybody has to become a phd, tradesmen are very important too, I say but Australia even has to import trade people, what a fucking joke.

    I think alice is on the right track.

    for people who don't use ga3, sprinkle on the surface, and repeat intervals of wet and dry.

    funny thing I observed once was, that a quick to germinate poppy variety, did not germinate, and I gave up on them, and stored them away, in a fashion of, one seedlings tray, on top of another. than when I had the time, to recyle the potting mix, to my amazement, they germinated, whilst being etiolated!

    so maybe even cycles of dark and bright light will help.

    but as a general rule, poppies need light to germinate, deeply buried seeds will struggle to germinate.

    are there any plants that contain melatonin? griffonia seeds for their 5-htp could be sedating

    Urtica dioica, the stinging nettle, is said to contain 5-hydroxytryptamin!!

    I experimented with it (a/b) and found it worth while more investigation.

    ww, I never used patches, I love the turkey, it's painful, but you win faster.

    physical withdrawl, is easy to break, but the psychological aspects are harder to break.

    that's why many people start again.

    who is boss? you or the cigies?

    don't be a slave to cigies.

    I chain smoked at times, stopping cigies was the best thing I ever did.

    anyway, work hard on beating the psychological aspects, talk to yourself, with encouraging messages.

    I think, it's a disgrace how tony interacts with woman, maybe (or even most likely) this has it's roots in his Christian believes. you know, the Vatican suggests woman ought to obey there man, and if there is an argument, they ought to, submit.

    I think Julia did a good job, and it is very clear, that once kevin was pm again, he became another person again.

    Julia bishop said, the carbon tax was the downfall of the labour party, and I whole heartdedly agree!!

    let me use a metaphor, the carbon tax, is there for a cleaner environment...

    so Julia say's to the Australian people, go and clean your room.

    and tony, say's no children, you don't have to clean up, leave it messy.

    naturally many children voted for the daddy, which allowed them to get away with it!!!

    this was a brilliant move of tony & co, I must say.

    I will have to read your posts again and again, in the hope, that I will remember as much as possible.

    we animals are slow learners, but there is probably as well a good reason for it.

    sometimes it feels to me, like I almost understand how anything works, like for example string theory, but than it retracts right away again. and it was more a feeling of understanding, than something that can be put into words.

    the genius is to, be able to put it into words.

    I like it when the same discoveries are made by independent people, we are evolving.

    the argemone's are a weed in many parts of oz, probably even where you live.

    glaucium flavum, the horned poppy, is a common weed, at temperate beaches.

    it has been probably introduced, into Australia very early, by means of ballast sand.

    I mean the ship was filled with sand from a beach in say England, for ballast and than the ballast got at times, dumped in Australia...

    glaucium flavum

    lactuca virosa, lactuca serriola (not poppy family, but still listed)

    papaver orientale (READ POST #27, it seems to be illegal in some states)

    argemone mexicana

    argemone albiflora

    just to name a few, please add your experiences.

    lactuca virosa, produces quite strong, effects, compared to papaver somniferum though, it doesn't feel as nice and cosy.

    effects last for quite a while, administered via pyrolisation, of the resin.

    argemone mexicana, as above, but feels spooky and dark on top, of the main effect.

    feels like opium, but with a darkness which some people describe, datura like.

    some junkies, think it's awesome stuff, but I would dose very low, even if you have tolerance.

    it will hold you for quite a while, a bit like dmt.

    i dunno, maybe its necessary for the very powerful human mind to keep itself mostly hidden from us, in the same way that the boss of a workplace functions best when the majority of information and decision-making is delegated elsewhere. when the boss walks onto the factory flaw he is largely clueless.

    this one I try to explain, with the different personalities which we carry.

    every body will make a good king, if they allow, you to be king, or make you king.

    I like how, you say, that a stroke of genius can only happen once in a while.

    that's why, for example if you compose music, it's better if you take long breaks between inspiration.

    it would be nice to know, how the brain does it, I am convinced, great ideas, can only produced once in a while.

    composers who, write music and lyrics, everyday for living, say it exhausts them, and that it is a lenghy process, whilst composers who, get inspired once in a while, report that the write lyrics and music, of a whole rock song within 15 minutes.

    great inspiration, is a rush, of performing far above average, very similar, to when you are much better, because of halus.

    I love seeing other peoples plants, nice upload.

    I post a lot, because I stopped alc & pot.

    that always throws me, into a semi manic state for a while, although I don't have a bi polar diagnose...

    regarding, the special plants, I noticed you have leaf curl issues, which are very common with this plant.

    as a tip, I say (in other posts I went into more detail about it), those plants stop growing once they have the curl, so they need far less water, than usual, and they same with fertilizer. they stay suspended for a couple of weeks, and you have to wait, till they start growing again, to fertilize them and to give more water. some people think oh they don't grow, so I fert and water them more, but this can kill them.

    some people think, I give them more sun, and this could as well kill them.

    if you are unlucky, the plant will overcome the curled leaves, and start to grow nicely, just to get curl leaves again right away...

    curled leaves, happen when the plant had to endure a change in there setup.

    is there a word for knowing that you know something, but not remembering what it is? it's a fact of life for me, which occurs from simple knowledge down through to my deeper subconscious filters, mechanisms and languages, the murky depths of cognition where my brain hemispheres attempt to mediate one another and maintain the constructs from which, i guess, my entire sense of reality emerges. some aspects of my mind let down the whole mind because they can't perform their role, and the whole mental process suffers or stagnates.

    fleeting glimpses of simple knowledge are easy to understand. frequently i know a word and it's meaning, but can't recall what it is. if my mind is generally managing well it will dredge the knowledge up in due time, using nootropics helps with this kind of thing but if i stop taking them for long enough it might be beyond my capacity.

    I started using pot relatively late in life, so I know that my, "knowing there is a word, but not remembering it, but to remember the meaning", has nothing to do with drug use.

    it happens to me all the time, and the reason for it is my dyslexia!

    the left brain remembers the word, and the right brain remembers, the whole thing around it.

    the dyslexic brain, remembers even the, "whole thing around a word" (person, thing...), maybe even better than normal people.

    for example, the word comfrey (yes, even now I had forgotten it again, although I used it only a short while ago, thank god I wrote it down) escaped me today. the head hurts when this happens, but I do remember in great detail everything, there is to know about comfrey!!!

    so what I did, is to google the terms "permaculture border plants", and get the answere right away, no need to, even click any of the results, comfrey it say's, in the preview.

    I have to do this very often when I compose replies.
