    khat self seeding

i allways look for selfseedlings, especialy under big trees, but all there is... if you are lucky are little plants produced by root-shoots. try do dig up as much of its root system as you can! catha might self seed but not under the umbrella of a big plant, look further downhill where the water runs of... those seedcapsules open and the winged seeds could fly very far indeed before resting somewhere and now only need to get washed to an occasional wet location. try to climb, break down branches to get those seeds, chances are slim you find good seeds under a tree. bye

    grafting brugmansia

thats no brug but a stramo u got @tst.

    grafting brugmansia

green heals faster more sensitive thou. avoid succulent grow (caused by to much nutrients and or hothouse conditions) never tryed solandra on brugmansi. but different spp. of brugs will take craft! all i used was clingwrap as tape and a razorblade. make sure not to bruse the tissue whilst cutting and specialy when taping, dont tape so hard that plantsaps gets squeezed out. but the union has to be good. the siction continues to grow after days only.crafts are fully healed after 4 weeks and sometimes i removed the tape even earlier.

    grafting brugmansia

solani are highly compatable, but apart from sanguinea (a rather sporadic cutting) ther is no reason to craft, unless you want different spp. on the same rootstock, a space saver approach. grafts take no time to heal on brugs...v grafts, whip and tonge, but not bud chipping. imagen golden cup solandra nitida, brug sanguinea, all on one tree!

    Catha edulis in Yemen

i knowe there are many different cultivars in production. i got 3 a white one a red one,and the narroleaved one i sell catha edulis at bangalow market N.S.W. or e-mail me! soon i will pollinate the southafrican narroleaved with my white strain. i have for years bothered sowing me catha seeds... bla, bla what a fool i was. but it requieres some skill raising tiny, seedlings, perhapse more than striking cuttings which are less sensitive. damping of fungus is often to blame. but sterilized and well cared for cuttings will strike up to 80-90% if cuttings damp of try cold house, if roots never form... try warmer, often i mostly only remove the young leaves on cuttings, because the old ones (reduced in size) will not wilt and are acting like storage tanks.
