    ebay madness

Being recently unemployed relying on my business and things like this to provide for me my wife and two kids, i am looking out for number 1, me and my family. Am i a bastard, fucking oath, but at least my family are healthy, and evidently the prices aren't that unrealistic as business is growing steadily. As this happens the prices will drop, but for now fuck yas all! I view $30 for a b caapi to be obscenely overpriced but that is the common sale price for them. But as i am concerned the value of a product is dictated by what people are prepared to pay!

    ebay madness

I am not robbing anyone. I am listing something for sale, people are CHOOSING to buy it. I used to hate ebay sellers just like you applesnail, after months trying to sell market average price in the hopes of getting the overall price down i realized 'fuck it i am not going to change things, their auctions are still selling, the only difference is that i am making half as much'

    ebay madness

I am actually quite generous. Though somewhere i need to make the money to be able to be as such, i have spent most of my life giving away, selling underpriced etc only to end up with no money and very little in the way of even thanks from those who have recieved goods from me, i still do this though i use some avenues to actually make a profit. Now if someone is prepared to pay it then so be it (again i sell the same stuff that is on ebay for far less elsewhere, people just need to RESEARCH) if they are prepared to pay $50+ for a small graft then odds are their intentions for the plant aren't that great. furthermore If someone is prepared to pay it then obviously it has that value to this person. Not my fault that people are so damn naive. Most of the times i throw free grafts in with my peres purchases etc, i deserve to make some profits somewhere! Particularly this week with the amount of bills on the table hence i have listed this as well as some tricho cllones for sale. I NEED THE MONEY. you can hate me but you dont need to buy from my auctions! Though as i stated above the start price of the auction is irrelevant and this is more of a test/research of the market buying trends than a consistant pricing schedule. It is tempting to list my research here on values and trends but i would rather keep it to myself ;) Though who are we to say a plant isn't worth that value? The grafts i sell have been established for over 6 months so if they die it would be the fault of the purchaser. edit: i have had people offer me $75 for grafts of this size purely because they cant seem to get grafts to stick themselves. If you want people to not get ripped off by me you better start selling some cut price plants on ebay! edit2: I know for a fact that other members here are behind some of the other overpriced auctions. However i stand forward expecting to cop shit over being a greedy bastard(in relation to this one auction) to explain that the starting bid is irrelevant, the people will usually almost end up paying the same price within $15 whether it starts at $10 or $50 except for a rare few cases where the auction goes un-noticed.

    ebay madness

You would think a starting bid of that amount would turn people off, but it doesn't. If someone wants a button bad enough they will pay it. Although from my trials i have found that generally an item started at a lower amount will end up going for more as people get caught up in a bidding war. i.e. same auction starting at $25 will end up selling for more (on buttons and columnar cacti) whereas pereskiopsis will sell for minimum bid 90% of the time, regardless of price ranging from $15-$30 for approximately 50cms. g-string not included in purchase price sorry. (lace undies do make damn fine ties for grafts though) Incase you didn't realise this is an auction posted by someone on my behalf (although they added their own profits onto it). The same people have listed similar buttons before and on average a 5 cent piece size button grafted has sold for $64.30. Starting bids ranging from $10 to $50. For the fact some identical auctions have gone for just over $90 a starting bid of $50 isn't actually that unrealistic (highlights just how overpriced things are in australia). Also the starting bid seems irrelevant just about any trichocereus, peres, button or similar on ebay sells. Funny thing is that most stuff i sell on ebay for excessive prices can be purchased from the webstore, for usually half of what it is on ebay for, if only the people would look harder.

    ebay madness

Sorry! I sometimes put prices far above the average on my ebay auctions now purely because they still sell. On ebay it is not unreasonably to return $2-3/cm on trichos, which could be bought for 1$/cm or less here. Lophs go for a small fortune and even peres can fetch upto $5/10cm length. I think that the issue is Australia doesn't have much competition in the entheogenic plant market. Especially the mainstream markets such as ebay, and most dont find their way to sites such as shaman australis or my own. As such the few (3-4 suppliers) that release entheo products on ebay are all content to charge exorbitant prices because no-one is offering it cheaper. Without competition it is the sellers market, if more members from here were to sell some of their babies on ebay we would start to see significant changes. Whilst i still feel bad with some of the prices things go for on ebay i am still charging usually 25% less than the next cheapest supplier. Funny thing is though that often things i set as auctions starting at lower amounts will build to sell for more than i would list them as buy it now. In these cases it is the buyers own stupid fault If you want to see a change in the market you need to try and start making it so yourself! Sell some plants cheap, share the love and hope that there is someone out there who isn't JUST in it for the money!

    CHAGA

Hmm used to see this all the time around the Snowy Mountains when i lived at Tumut. Shame i didn't know of its uses at the age of 8. There is an abundance in australia i can confirm that. The question is finding it, i think the snowy and blue mountains are a good point or reference to start as i recall seeing these at both locations.

i could almost outbid myself for the generous addition.
  8. Ok i inherited a few new brugs today and some pollen for my hybrid endeavours :D Have a pretty fair idea but would like confirmation on them please if possible. They should all be relatively standard clones and the lady said she brought them up from melbourne some 10 years ago. This one is labelled as 'Apricot Datura' The flowers and leaves kind of match up with B. Versicolor 'Apricot' as shown here (slightly longer flowers than most seems the biggest giveaway) But in reality i have no idea. Leaves feel 'furryier' than my aureas or suavolens, more like a candida. any ideas? Brugmansia Candida 'Double White' Brugmansia Aurea 'Yellow' (i am 99% sure it is identical to every pic i see of it anyways) although the flowers seem a lot more curled than my Aurea White, are the whites typically known to have straightdown type flowers?
  9. Except instead of coming to the logical realisation of the failure of this war they will continue to tighten the noose around our freedoms neck until there is none left. Then they will have CREATED a community of criminals. Thats the part that shits me, through there stupid laws they are making honest, caring people into criminals punishable under the same laws as those trafficking drugs for illegal crime gangs, except the average joe cant afford pricey attorneys to get them off the charges so yet again its another epic failure taking in the poor criminals while the real ones walk free.

  11. Personally i think this has to do with the matirity of the trichomes, and could subsequently also have to do with higher levels of CBD compared to THC at higher maturity levels. Often outdoor plants don't mature as well as indoor plants. I also note from experience that early harvested cannabis(mostly milky trichomes with a few amber anda few clear) has a distinctly more 'high' stoned whereas plants matured to mostly amber and cloudy trichomes will offer more of a couchlock stone. Again genetics would play abig part on this as well but i still believe that maturity has equal of an effect on the chemical compounds, this isn't backed by scientific study only what i have found through experimentation. Edit: however i am straying from the point at hand and will end here. cool Monica will have a stickybeak! Let me know when you have the paper related to legislation, i saw your spreadsheet online the other day, first time i had seem apretty conclusive list of synthetics and their legal statuses in the varied states. Although the information may not be entirely up to date(didn't look into it) i was amazed at just how hard it was to find that information, until of course stumbline on it on your site
  12. Been used since right back in the ancient roman days (lucius cornelius sulla) taking subtoxic doses and gradually working higher to build immunity to poisons. He killed many people by 'taking the first sip' of laced wine. And avoided many assasination attempts through his tolerance.

    soft Cacti

Without pictures to confirm if there is any rotor anything going on it is likely that it is just thirsty. My lophs and cacti go a bit soft in between waterings if i leave them too long, this is because there isn't much moisture in them so they are shrivelling slightly. however please dont give it a good water just in case this isn't the reason

Legal Weed: Is it really legal?

Unless you are on drug testing for work, jail release etc etc. My town is a 'Jail-Release Town' so the local shop that sells it makes a killing, as stated above always someone in there buying it. I have pondered whether i should try the blends for curiosities sake, though now i am kind of glad that i haven't. I am really starting to get scared for when my kids are in their teens. This is only the tip of the iceberg and the chems are getting steadily more nasty. Cant buy anything without having to wonder if you are going to wind up dead by the end of your experience.

    Mimosa ID

Just an update i have narrowed it down to the two now trying to find more detailed information on how to distinguish between them. The options i have are D. leptophyllus and D. pernambucanas i am struggling to find any clear information on how to distinguish bwtween the two however from what you have posted above i am leading towards Pernambucanua as there are 4 sets of pinnae and 8-15 sets of pinules on each. Flowers and seeds match i actually think i am happy with this ID now

  19. I dont think the bitch(Scuse language) quite gets what she has done... How can it not have clicked in her head that turning a negative test into apositive will likely send someone to jail wrongfully. Good that now those wrongfully incarcerated can actually fight it, worrying that a large amount of people involved in organised crime gangs etc are undoubtedly also going to be able to get their charges revoked and get back out ont othe streets, because now they cant even re-test samples because she has contaminated many of them...
  20. Yeah lokstok i had worried about this but i am more concerned about my prized brug that they have infected, they can have the rest of the front garden for all i care! I stripped the plant of the most badly infected leaves and bagged/binned them. I think the sulphur has helped as they don't seem to be spreading so much anymore. Both my neighbours grow native Rubus Ssp. which attract mites as well, their plants are absolutely infested to the max so i am trying to convince them to remove these plants and will be spraying them as well. I will also be trying to water them more frequently to keep mositure levels up and promote good bugs/piss of the mites. Thanks Dave i have used them before but had completely forgotten the site. much appreciated. I will likely need to wait a bit now though for my pesticides to wear off before investing in them. I have a neem product but the label has worn off it and no matter how hard i look i cant find the photo of it I had thought neem was more of a preventative than a solution for a major infestation though. They sell the one you show at my local bunnings i might think about it. Myco, i have the wettable sulphur which is water disolvable and you can spray it i would imagine that this would have relatively the same effect, but be much easier to apply then actually dusting. This is just my theory i dont know for sure. But it seems to have helped with my problems a bit. Using dusting sulphur would become very costly and so much would be wasted... Is it safe to use neem and sulphur at the same time? Not sure if neem is considered a 'horticultural oil' but from what i have read using both together is a big nono. I think i will try the sulphur for another day or two and then look at cleaning them down and starting a neem oil regime. I think my biggest mistake was not doing a preventative run around the garden at the start of the season. I foolishly waited until i noticed them. lesson well and truly learnt.
